Great value...but that's about it.
I had fun playing here. My daughter came with me, her first round ever. This course is WEIRD. 9 hole course with some holes having separate tees for first and second nine. The course has high risks with low rewards to show for it. Many holes call for a driver due to length, but have blind narrow landing areas. Greens have HUGE drop-offs around sides that, when hit, are sending your ball inevitably to hazards or OB. Almost every green has a drop-off like this, at least one. The first and last hole are almost indescribable. First one is 245 yard par 4 where tees and green are level, but there is a 75-foot chasm in between. It runs parallel to the driving range, the mats are like 50 feet from right-most mat. Needless to say, the hole is literally COVERED with range balls, with some incoming if you can't make the carry and end up in the chasm.
The 9th (18th) hole is either a par 3 or par 5 depending on what hole you are on. The par three is a 100 yard shot straight up about a 75 to 100 foot terraced hill to a tiny green. The par 5 is a blind tee shot that lands on a downhill slope. You then have to hit up the 75 foot hill while on a 10* downslope. Interesting.
Much Improved
The course was in the best shape I have ever seen it. Greens were smooth and fairways were in nice condition. Very obvious that time and effort has been put into the course maintenance. The staff was very friendly and the different tee box's for the back 9 made it fun. I will certainly play here again.
Getting Better All The Time
This course has come a long way in 2 years, It was in pretty good condition and the staff was great. For the price, a very enjoyable round. Enjoyed it so much I am going back again next week (hopefully I will play better). Its a 9 hole course with a different tee box the 2nd time through....which makes it fun, yet challenging.
Something different
Overall the course was ok tee boxes are not labeled very well the scorecard shows red white and blue tees the course only had red and blue the course was in ok shape for the winter the greens really could use some attention biggest complaint was there were multiple holes with dog poop over them.
Much Improved
I have not played here in a couple of years. It's obvious that quite a bit of work has been put into the course. Best I have ever seen it (and its winter conditions). Staff was friendly and my son and I thoroughly enjoyed the round. The greens were frozen the 1st time through but on the second pass they were nice. I will certainly try to make it back for another round.
Great Conditions
This course has seen it’s fair share of bad conditions but the management and grounds crew have really worked hard and turned this little course around. I used to tell myself ‘well at least it’s only $25’, but this last round I played I found myself saying ‘can’t believe this is only $25!’ If you are in the area I highly recommend checking this course out, it’s in fantastic shape!
Twice Around the Bend
A wonderful little 9 holer with a challenging box and pin set-up when you play 18. The ninth hole will make you wish you were Moses coming down from the mountain instead of teeing off toward it.
The price was so right, I would fly in to do it again...
Enjoy a hidden pleasure.
