Cheap rates
For the 7 dollars that I paid the par 3 course was not too bad. The tees were grass (rough), but the greens were not too bad and were probably running around 6. Good mixtures of holes from 90 yards to 200 yards.
A good par 3 course
for the money and a quick play, there is a good par 3 course.
Great for starters who are afraid of those par 4's and 5's
I have been playing for the a year and a half now and I feel like even tho this course is a 3 par that it has helped my game a lot. If you wanna work on your iron shot this is the place. Not to many trees to lose the ball. But the downside is that the fairways are patchy and they have some driving mats at the start of some holes. I would recommend it to a friend of mine. Plus it's $20 for 18 holes!
Great course for those learning the game
I played this course at least 3x a week when I was a kid and learned to play golf here. It holds a special place in my heart, so I decided when my son wanted to play I would bring him back to where I learned and the course is still in the same great shape it was when I was a kid. In spite of the significant amount of play the greens were in fabulous shape. To top it all off, I had my first hole in one ever. Can't beat that.
Great value course
Perfect course for some quick practice on your short-game. I was able to book a single 5:30 tee time and finish the course in about 2 hours. The 18-hole course ranges from 110-200 yards from tee box to flag, so it's great practice for your short-game. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, great experience at Sterling Park and I will be returning.
OK for practice facility
Anyone needing to work on their par 3 game minus putting should consider this as a place to utilize. Putting on these greens isn't going to do your game any good as there are bare spots, unrepaired divot marks, and evidence of general lack of maintenance enabling weeds and other blemishes to take hold.
The prices are acceptable. The staff very friendly and people who play in league at this course also. I was even invited to join their league activities.
What I prefer for my golfing experiences aren't to be found at this course, however, that is why at times golf is referred to as weed hockey.
Good course for beginners
Good value but greens and tee boxes are sub-par. I would recommend this course for beginners just learning to play.
Fun and easy
Fun place to work on your short game. Lots of different shapes and challenges. 19 hole is relaxed and has shady places to seat with a good view of the course.
Great Tune-up course
This par 3 is a great course to practice your short game. The greens were in good shape and the course was well maintained.
Good for iron shot practice.
All the holes were par 3s. similar distance with 120-160 yards.thouh it has 200 yards and 180 yards. good for iron shot drills. fairway grass was not fully maintained in winter.
Nice Par 3 with enough variability and challenge to hold your interest
This Sterling Park 18-hole par 3 course is perfect for working on your short game or when you do not have time for a full course. With a cart, our twosome completed all 18 in about 2 hours and 15 minutes with a foursome in front of us. While there are several straight approaches with bunkers on the sides, there are also some longer holes that need a fade or a draw to hit the green in good position. You'll find birdie challenging even when you make the green as there are several that are a tough read. All-in-all, this is a terrific short game course. Try it out, you'll enjoy yourself.
Fair course, greens needs attention
Good for practicing your short game, but some of the greens are very bumpy. The club has few carts.
great for work on short game
Par 3...all are between 100 and 200 yards. Pretty open but water on a few holes is in play as is out of bounds on a couple holes. Greens are in pretty good shape. All in all, fun and easily walkable.
Worse dog track I've ever seen. I'll never go back.
