Lake Land Village Golf Course - Generation I & III Course
About
Located in Allyn just 45 minutes west of Tacoma, LakeLand Village surrounds Anderson Lake with Mt. Rainier providing a backdrop to the south. The community includes three beaches and a 27-hole golf course. The course is divided into three nines known as Generation I, II, and III, which are played in different 18-hole combinations. Gen I and III combines the oldest and newest nines. The former is shorter and tighter, while the longer back nine has more undulation on the greens and strategically placed bunkers. There are several challenging holes that feature narrow fairways framed by out-of-bounds, and water hazards come into play as well. The golf course is nicely balanced with more player-friendly features, making it a good option for players of all skill levels.

Great hidden treasure.
What a great place to play golf. I've only played generation two and three so I can only comment on them. A typical Northwest layout with abundant room if you find the Fairway. Course knowledge on a couple holes doesn't hurt. The majority of the greens are large but lots of undulation and speed. Not a tough walking course but we did ride. Look forward to playing again.
I keep coming back
Do you like fun? Take my word it can be had here. True greens. Fun hole layouts mixed with some real challengers. Drying out nicely from winter. 3 Course options. Aqua range. Pleasant and clean cut staff while we were there. Looks like they have a bistro down from the clubhouse and some fun local bars at the bottom of the hill. It’s my new home track.
Champion quality for municipal money!!
Folks! If you have ever hesitated to make a wiggle over to this course you’re missing out. 4 tee boxes plus obvious tipped out boxes create a length for all caliber of players. You’re penalized for terrible shots, the golf gods reward or punish ok shots, and good shots yield pars and birdie looks while the greens roll true and provide just enough nuance. Tee to green is the test here. Once you’re on the greens the putts roll true. Play your yardage to the middle / back and spin the ball back or stop it dead! Do not underestimate the false fronts, club up don’t be a hero. Enjoy the round!!
Nice pace
Weather was perfect, sunny and not too hot. Greens were punched about a week ago, so putting can be tricky. There were not a lot of people in the afternoon, and we played pretty fast. A few local guys in front of us wee very friendly and let us pass through.
Going downhill with changing seasons
The course was in noticeably worse shape than when we played there a few weeks ago. Greens were sanded/plugged making them unputtable, course very dried out, and fairways so bumpy driving the cart was very jarring.
Too many bees swarming. Got stung 4-5 times. Goose poop continues to be a problem too. The course is overall in good shape. Greens were fast. One of our favorite courses.
one of the best
we play here as often as we can. Love the course…perfect day to play yesterday…moved along easily , no backups..:):)
Perfect
We love this course and play as often as we can…yesterday we played too late and there was quite a backup of walkers and cart drivers….made our day a little longer…so, we will play earlier:)
Excellent day for a game of golf
The course is in great shape and I enjoyed playing Lakeland Village Golf Course. The course was quite crowded which was unusual . Highly recommend giving it a try if you’ve never played there.
