Camaloch Golf Club
About
Camaloch Golf Course is located within the Puget Sound "Sun Belt," which receives only half of the nearby rainfall of nearby courses. Its location on Camano Island also puts it at an advantage during the summer months when the temperatures rise up to the 90s on the mainland, the golf course stays cool thanks to the coastal breezes. The course first opened with nine holes in 1972 and expanded to an 18-hole course in 1991. Known for its smooth and consistent greens, Camaloch G.C. has long been a local favorite. The layout starts with a gentler front nine that features wide fairways and fewer hazards. The back nine becomes much more difficult with several holes that play over water. Camaloch Golf Course's undulating greens putt fast and true, and they are often accompanied by strategically placed bunkers.

Challenging greens
The greens were as advertised "In great condition" . Play moved fast as it was a weekday and the overall course condition was good. A pretty easy walk as there is only one elevated hole on the back nine. The course plays relatively short with the par 5's being reachable with a well hit drive (230+). Expect extra roll as the fairways are firm. Overall a great day I'm a low 90's golfer and played to my handicap 18. :)
Course plays well
I would play it again everyday if it wasn't so far from where I live
Good course with a couple challenging holes
I enjoyed playing this course and is close to my friends summer house
Great!
Great course, interesting holes, greens putt true and are in excellent condition.
Great course during good weather
Course was in great shape even with the rain in the previous week. Fairly easy course even for a novice.
This is a nice course with only a few hazards that can get novice players in trouble.
Considering the recent rain the course was in great shape with only a few soggy areas. Greens looked great and played fast.
Varied layout, not as easy as it looks
A nice surprise. just off the highway on Camano Island, West of I-5 between Marysville and Mount Vernon. Nice people and a treasure for local golfers.
Water is in play but not overly so. Uphill, downhill and lateral holes provide an interesting layout that is not as easy as it looks your first time around. Not too difficult to walk, except for 1 steep uphill hole, but electric carts are only $12.50/rider including tax for 18 holes.
Would play it again and recommend it to everyone.
I really enjoyed this course and would play it again...
I am an average golfer so playing a course like Camaloch is perfect. Although not a difficult course it was laid out well.
The greens had just been punched and the pro shop called me to let me know they would accept a change in tee time if I wanted because of this.
To have received the call was a pleasant surprise. Professional, friendly, and a golf course I would highly recommend.
Sneaky Hard
The course visually does not appear difficult but that is deceiving. Every hole has a feature that can create another stroke for you and a lot of the holes have OB that comes into play in which in turn puts a little bit pressure on your Tee shot. Greens are well guarded with bunkers so a decent sand game is required or the ability to hit a lot of greens. The course overall is a challenge in normal dryer conditions, but really tough when fairways are we as they are now. I'm a 14 handicap and barely keep the score under triple digits in winter here. Pretty course and nice pro shop and restaurant. I recommend this course to those who like a challenge.
Challenging but fun
For this time of the year and all the recent rain the course was in the very good condition. The greens putted very true.
Great greens very poor fairways
Most awkward round of golf I ever played... The green were pretty darn good. Maybe running about 9' but.... There were no fairways. The grass was at least three inches everywhere a lot of times even longer. Extremely muddy. My pants and shoes were not recognizable after the round...
