Enumclaw Golf Course
About
Situated below Mt. Rainier, Enumclaw Golf Course is considered one of the most beautiful courses in western Washington. The stunning natural setting is a showcase of the best Northwest golf has to offer. The course is home to an abundance of wildlife including deer, elk, otters, and heron. From late September through early October, golfers can witness the salmon coming up Boise Creek to spawn. The layout meanders through tall pines and across rolling hills. The front nine is less challenging than the back where there are more strategically placed bunkers and blind tee shots. With small greens and a variety of elevation changes throughout, accuracy is essential for a low score. Enumclaw Golf Course's par-3 holes are particularly challenging. The course also features several risk-reward opportunities that emphasize strategy over skill.

HOLE SETTING
The holes were set 2 to 3 feet from the edge of the green on all 18 holes, set for a tournament earlier that day, making it not fun for the avid golfer!!! it was not worth the discount I payed. wish golfnow.com would post that before people pay. the us open had better hole placement than this course did!! not very happy
Enumclaw
Great Rates - great Staff. Had recently air-rated the greens, but played well. Really like this course. Looking forward to winter play.
Great Time
We totally enjoyed our round at Enumclaw. It was even better when we realized that the Chinook Salmon were spawning in the creek that runs through the course. We will be back again.
Wildnerness setting
We enjoyed the course............the staff was friendly and helpful...........they let us go out one hour earlier also...........I will come back ...
Course very poor
Course very poor greens OK Fairways like a cow pasture rough over grown wet over watered will not play again.
Course is a challenge to average golfer
Person @clubhouse @check in was NOT customer friendly... His attitude seemed quite sour towards GN and/or their customers. Specifically, his quick reference to carts not being available at all times as written in "fine" print was totally unnecessary. MANY carts were in plain site upon entering..?
Course was in good condition & had some interesting & challenging holes. Would go back WITHOUT same person on desk. Difficult course to walk...
The Claw
I have played this course hundreds of times but I have never seen it in better shape!
Alright for the money
I played on a Saturday afternoon and was very slow. People did not have etiquette for people behind them. They would look for golf balls for 10 mins or more. For what it cost to player there you can't expect any better for course condition. There was a lot of bare spots and greens were not great.
No carts
Purchased with cart. Arrived, and my tee time was not on their schedule. Did not have any carts, as they were holding them for a later tournament that day. One of the employees gave their personal cart to us...that was very considerate. Course fairways are pretty rough/lumpy. Wouldn't play course again
Meh...
Apparently GolfNow wasn't suppose to make tee times available until after 1pm. When we booked our tee time for 10:40am (with a cart), they were just about to kick off a tourney. The front 9 is pretty challenging with mostly narrow fairways and tough pin locations throughout. Course was maintained pretty well, just bummed they offered a cart and couldn't stay true to their word. 2 star course.
Get a cart, lots of ups and down (no pun intended)
First time playing this course and it was alright. The layout of the greens and tee boxes are very odd. Sometimes holding up play due to not wanting to approach the green in fear of hitting the group in front on the next tee. Just all around not designed very well at all. With that said the front 9 is MUCH better than the back nine. Back nine has one tee box that is a permanent mat to hit from and many of the holes you cannot see where you're hitting or even the flag until you're a 100 yards or closer to the green. Lots of hills and not great condition of fairways. However if you like putting on very challenging greens this is a good course for you as all seem to be very difficult due to slope which isn't a bad thing just difficult. And again, rent a power cart!
The 'Claw
Surprisingly busy for a Monday. Course conditions have been improving and hopefully will continue. Greens fee for this course makes it a good value.
Rain quickly ruined course
We only played nine. Rain quickly put standing water on greens. The course becomes too wet if you spit on it.
Inexpensive and fun course
One hole was possibly flood damaged, changed to par 3 from par 4, otherwise, the course is fairly in good condition. Would probably use all of the clubs in your bag, Short par 5's plus few long par 4 and par 3, fun to play.
Value course
If you want to get better and get a bang for your buck go play here! People are friendly and course is pretty in spots. It's a wet course so early to late summer is best. For the money it was great and you can play a few times and work on your game. Some tough narrow holes, even if a little short of a course. Reccomend playing especially for the golfnow deals like $12 w/cart!
This course has made goodn improvements.
I'm from the area, so I play this course from time to time during the summer. The staff is always polite and are very helpful. I enjoyed my round very much and think the course was in very good shape.
no drainage
There were numerous holes where just off the fairway was a mud pit. One of the par 4s was turned into a par 3 where you teed off from a makeshift tee box part way down the fairway because the hole was in such disrepair. A few holes had blind tee boxes where you had no idea if the people in front of you were out of the way or not; the course was backed up this day, so that made it extra unsafe.
Great local course
Generally can be pretty swampy on a couple holes, it wasn't bad. You definitely get what you pay far, cheap rate, cheap course. Greens have improved, but fairways still need a lot of work. Does have some of the best food though.
Great experince and loved the course. Bring your camera.
Excellent and helpful staff. Our golf threesome arrived a good 45 minutes early and were able to start our round immediately. That's because the two young lady staffers told us to ask the two groups ahead of us if we could start before them. Since both groups weren't quite ready, they willingly agreed. The course itself has some fairways that were really wide but somewhat narrow for the first fifty yards. That made it quite exciting. The meandering stream that crossed lots of the fairways were crystal clear and pristine. Golfing in that environment was extremely relaxing and peaceful. I would have loved to see some salmon in them. Love the greens, they were in fantastic shape. The food and service at the restaurant was quite good.
Enjoyed it
Nice layout, super friendly staff. Course wasn't in the best shape but it's early in the season. Several holes of golf to be played can be risk reward shots. I'll definitely go back. Walking the 18 hole layout is a work out. Also couldn't get a GPS signal during most of the round from my phone or rangefinder?
