Great walking course

Walter Hall is, what I would consider, my home course. I've played there for years, first as a league member through my work, and now as a retired recreational golfer. The course has never been in better shape, particularly the greens which putted consistently and smoothly this year. The staff in the clubhouse was friendly and professional and the pace of play was well under 4 hours for my round. I thought the price for a round of golf was excellent in comparison to what you pay at some courses. The only improvement could be the time the restaurant opens as it is a bit late for the early golfer.

Wish I could have played the course, but no.

I was looking to play 18 holes during their twilight hours. I was a single so couldn't book a tee time. I arrived 30 minutes before twilight was scheduled to start. There was a line so I waited patiently. When I got to the front, I told the attendant that I was a single looking for a twilight tee time. He then attempted to set me up for a regular tee time. I politely corrected him and he asked me if I had set up a tee time. I said no, I am a single and can't set up a tee time. He then said in a very rude tone that he didn't have any tee times available until 90 minutes after twilight started.
So I took my credit card back and drove to the Nile and played 18 holes in three hours. No wait time and they were happy to see me. Even though The Nile is a short course I have found that it is generally open in the spring time.

Nice place to spend a nice day

Had a great game as a walk on single. Met new people and staff got me a tee time. (easy for single) Course was in great shape and I didn't hit any trees today. Lighting and wind have thinned them out, to my advantage. Especially like the greens and how they've been maintained.

Walter Hall

Played twice in one week. Fairways were good and greens very nice. Greens were fast and tilty. 5 hour round the first Thursday and 4:15 the second. Played at 8:30 on the second rounds and11:00 am on the first. Pretty short from the Whites but the Blues were play be for a mid eighties shooter.

GREAT CONDITION

I live fairly close to the course but had not played it in several years. What a great surprise to find the course in wonderful shape!

Played on a Sunday afternoon in exactly 4 hrs. The course was in excellent condition. Not a very long course but water comes in to play on several holes on the back to make things interesting.
