Eagles Pride Golf Course - Green/Red
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course has long been known as one of the best military courses in the country and luckily for golfers, it's open to the public. Originally opened in 1940, the course started as the 18-hole Fort Lewis Golf Course. Another nine was added in 1979 but it wasn’t until the mid-1990s that it became Eagles Pride. The three nines are called the Green, Red, and Blue, and they are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Green/Red Course starts with the newest and most challenging of the three nines. The course will test you with plenty of trees, water hazards, undulating slopes, and even the occasional blind shot. There are some tough holes but players of all skill levels could enjoy any of the nines.
Previously known as Green/Red at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Friendly players
I ended up playing the second nine with a veteran that spent 20 years serving our country. What a pleasure it was to play with him, talk with him and thank him for his service. His course knowledge was very valuable. He’s a course Marshall on Mondays. If you see him out there, thank him for his service.
I played red and blue course today. The course quality is much better than I expected especially considering the money you paid. I believe it’s going to be even better in one or two weeks when the green resumes from aerification.
Worth the drive
I enjoy this place for the friendly staff and the great value. I like that there are no houses on the course and the mature trees force you to work the ball both ways. Played green and red and the red course has recently punched greens and they were very sandy.
Discount rate worth it
Greens recently punched and pretty horrid, but with the discount rate, well worth it.
Fun day
Started out in a drizzle but it quit after 5 holes or so. Course is in good shape, even with all the moisture lately. Got paired with a couple of fun guys, made for an enjoyable day, even though I did not play well. Only 2nd time playing green course.
Good average golf
Greens were saturated with water and soft in spots. Course needs to be cleaned up some more.
Customer service not good
Booked online and that was easy through GN. Buddy got there 1 hour before our tee time and when he paid and asked for the cart the guy at the counter said " No not giving you a cart it's way too early" I had this same experience the last time I booked too. This guy doesn't understand basics of customer service and that it's ok to have rules but don't be a jerk to people because you can. His body language when I booked a while ago was very rude with me too. I got there 50 minutes prior to Tee time and asked for the cart as well and same experience it wasn't that was the rules it's how he speaks to you. Frankly like your not a paying customer. He has an ego like he's the only golf course out there. Well your not and now after treating me this way and a good friend of mine that's a Veteran we will never return. It's ok to have rules and all but someone needs to teach this guy how to talk to people. It's not what you say but how you deliver it like a good person. Very unhappy and will tell all our friends to never go to your course.
Great Value
Really nice track and well maintained. During busy periods pace can be slow because t-times are close together. Love the holes, layouts and overall all 27 holes are enjoyable. Love that there are zero houses, huge old trees but wide fairways to work with.
