Good course with problems
Columbia Park Golf Tri-Plex suffers from a few issues that make playing there frustrating at times. First, the course in inundated with teams of geese that leave their dropping so thick that everything ends up coated will goose feces. This is a factor for at least six months of the year. It not only is frustrating but also a health threat.
My other frustration is with the management of the facility. They do not allow golfers to use the back 9 holes unless you play 18 holes. This is a good course for teaching youngsters how to play golf but this frustrates those who play regularly and expect to finish a round in a reasonable amount of time. This arbitrary policy makes this course unfriendly for anything but beginners.
Fun par three course with one par 4
Great little course for the price. Easy walking and great for all ages and playing abilitys. Greens are small which is great practice for short irons.
Humorously small greens
My husband and I were needing to golf and all of the local courses were under snow, so my husband and I booked the Columbia Park tee times and drove the 4 hours to golf in February. The weather was fantastic, mid 50s, and the course is located along the Columbia River. It was beautiful. We had the entire course to ourselves for the first half of the round. The tiny greens were in rough shape from the geese, but overall, it wasn't a bad course, and we had a great time.
