About
The Golf Club at Hawk's Prairie offers two 18-hole courses, the Links and the Woodlands. Located just a few miles north of Olympia in Lacey, Washington, the club is one of the best golf values in the South Sound. The Links Course joined the original 18 holes in 1999, providing a stark contrast to the aptly named Woodlands Course. The classic Scottish-links design features open fairways and undulating greens. The layout sprawls north towards the mouth of the Puget Sound. There are some rolling hills but the course is still a nice walk, especially with the views of Mount Rainier along the way. You'll encounter numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout and water hazards come into play on half of the holes. It's a challenging but fair golf course with five sets of tees making it playable for all skill levels.

Greens punched/sanded - Cart paths only
Woodlands 18 closed for the winter. Links greens sanded/punched last week. Poor putting surface currently . Carts not allowed off cart paths which makes for maybe more walking than just using a push cart .(although some players refuse to adhere to the rules & went wherever they wanted.)Quite a few folks on the Links course.
Course was in great shape
The course was in great shape. Lots of challenges and hazards. Greens run fast with lots of slope. Staff was courteous and friendly.
Great deal on GolfNow but
I enjoy playing the Links, when the course is in good condition. This course, like it’s twin, has not been kept up. The greens were in pretty good condition but the fairways were sad. Winter rules for sure but still a great value for 18 holes and a cart. I’m thinking this course is going to be sold for a housing development so why put in the effort and expense.
