Somewhat disappointed
Hadnt played there since 2019 and disappointed in condition of course....traps no sand, course very dry, areas of ground under repair. Has not been kept up and I understand for sale. Nice layout but would only play for reduced rate. Golf now reservation was for 1040 but course had me as 1020, not sure how that happened but was able to go off at 1030
Average e per
Friendly service, but slow due to lack of staff at pro shop. No beverage cart, or service at the turn, had to go into pro shop to get a Hotdog, 6 people in line.
Almost a five hour round. We had an 1110 am tee off, ran into a twosome that had the same time. They phoned in their time, I booked on GolfNow.
Excellent design, but needs some work.
The staff are so friendly and the course design is very challenging. This course has potential to be amazing, but needs some upkeep. The greens are baked out, the sand traps are mostly rocks and the water features need some attention.
Really like this course
Overall good conditions - sand traps need maintenance and sand! It’s been very wet here lately but course is standing up as well as can be expected.
My only complaint and this goes for almost all courses - why do we have to pay full cart prices when it’s “Cartpath Only”????
Soggy
While the day I played was pleasant, the course had suffered heavy rain previously. The fairways were over grown because too wet to get the mowers out. Clumps of grass trimming from previous weeks on fairways. Cart path only. I walked but the ground either had patches of water or very soggy. Greens were poor shape. Couldn’t get a consistent roll and thus break. While conditions were poor, it was weather related and not the fault of the grounds keepers. I enjoyed playing and understand the conditions.
Great course
We play it every time we’re in town
This course would be a gem... not sure how much maintenance is done but if it was done daily... great layout...
Tee boxes need work as do sand traps... great layout...
A nice course gone bad.
Sadly, Homestead golf course has steadily gone downhill for the last 10 years. Little to no course maintenance. Despite very dry weather the fairways hadn't been mown in some time. Even the tee boxes were in rough shape. Greens are bumpy & slow. Bunkers are a blend of dirt & rocks. Not sure if ownership isn't willing to spend money or if they can't hire workers. The rates are low but you definitely get what you pay for.
