A pretty basic, casual round near Chambers Bay
After working the US Open all day at Chambers Bay, I was hungry for a quick twilight round and found this little 9-holer, which as the crow flies isn't more than a mile from Chambers Bay. It's an old, tucked away park that is short and narrow in spots with tall fir trees lining some holes. It's been a pretty dry spring in the Sea-Tac area and the fairways were burnt brown, though the greens were in surprisingly nice shape, especially after hearing player grumbling all week down the street.
I wouldn't expect much here besides a friendly clubhouse, affordable rates and a few interesting shots. They've got FootGolf holes playing alongside the golf course but the two don't intermix, and there's also a disc golf course next door. It must be a pleasant amenity for Fort Steilacoom locals but as a visitor I'd probably look elsewhere.
