Lots of trees
I have played this course many times as it is near my home. It is a very good place to learn the game of golf.
The course was fun to play.
We enjoyed the course. Lots of different challenges. The weather was perfect so that always makes the experience grand
Keeps getting better
I've golfed Medowpark for 46 years. Liked the old course setup better than the redesign we play today. That being said, I must say this course keeps getting better every year. This year so far, the greens are the best they have been in years. The rough in spots does what it should to a wayward shot making par a good score. Keep up the good work maintenance crew.
fun muni
old tree growth makes for challenging course. course was dry. small greens . good course to use some irons and to be able to bomb away with your driver. if you hungry for something at the turn this isn't your course. i couldn't even find a candy bar.
A lot of large groups playing slowly.
Nice looking course. Greens look fast but are grainy and slow. Have never played here without it being very slow.
Great deals for golf
The price was right for the round. Even better, when I got there, they gave me a cart also! I'll be going back.
Good public course in good condition
If you play this course, you need to remember one thing because the pro shop attendent forgot: the white tees are more like senior tees and you must play the blue tees if you are looking for what normally would be white tees at most courses.
good winter course
with five sets of tees this course is good for all golfers.you get to use most of your clubs in your bag.
course in very good shape for fall love the back 9
very nice course and great practic facilitys and short game course meadow park has it all and well maintained
The course was in poor condition
Not only had the greens been punched recently, the general condition of the course was poor after only a few days rain the rough looked like it hadn't been mowed for a month-it was dry until last Fri, this was Tues, me playing partner each lost two good balls in the unmowed near fairway rough, 2 X $4=$8 ea.
Plus the gas from Burien was not worth the price of the discounted round!
Nice course requires some workability in your shots...
I enjoy playing this course, it has its difficulties at times. I play this course 2 to 3 times a month. Its usually in pretty good shape.
I agree with the description written (above) about the course and they have make it player friendly.
This is an outstanding muni! It is clear that the staff take a lot of pride in providing a course that can be played by almost all skill levels and I personally recommend that the high handicappers play it forward for an enjoyable experience. Although heavily played, the greens and general track are playable the whole year as advertised and surprisingly well maintained. This course is a well-kept secret.
Great walking course
Greens run true, fairways have good roll and rewards good shots.
Relaxed and challenging
This course is great for all skill levels. Generous fairways and greens makes this course just a lot of fun to play. Coupled with the beautiful scenery all around your round of golf there takes on another level of excitement.
A great value.
With the addition of five different positions to tee off from on each hole., Meadowpark can be as easy or as hard as you want to make it. Even from the tips the course it is not exceptionally long but the old-growth trees that line the Fairways narrow your landing zones enough to make you put that old 2 iron back in the bag for chipping out from under those low hanging branches.
But don't let Meadowpark's modest length fool you. Most of the holes are dog-legged and your long hitting buddies will be asking to use your 2 iron all day long. The real defense of the course is the tilted, cat-quick greens. "Amen" corner (#12,13 and 14) can ruin your day, but the setting will be a delight for the eyes.
Modestly priced and centrally located in South Tacoma, give it a try as I have for the last 45 years.
Better Than Expected
My only disappointment was that I could not use my American Express card as indicated on this site as a form of payment-- no air miles. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well the course was maintained. Relatively flat on the front nine. The greens were in excellent shape and the fairways nicely groomed. We received the $7 food credit and golf card all for $40, which I thought was a good deal. The food was average, but worth it.
Very busy course on the day we golfed and we did bunch up a few times. The carts were well maintained, but a bit dirty since they didn't get to clean them after the earlier tournament. I'd recommend this course to any golfer. Narrower fairways than some up here, a few obstacles and a few tricky greens.
