Strange Layout and Absurd Pin Placement
How in the world do you expect anyone to go pinseeking when there are trees or shrubs in the way? Nearly every hole was blocked unless you could hit a perfect fade or draw!
All tees were mats and not good ones.
Not worth the drive nor the price.
Sweet short game course
Actually, it was a great short course that, like it's name, is a challenge. I played in an open weekly Thursday night tournament, so I think the pins were set extra tough(near water, on slopes) making it some work. Tee to green was tight, but only so much as to make you pay attention. Had stuff you don't always see, like big sand traps, greens next to water. The setting on Vancouver Lake, I watched an eagle fly by, was worth the trip alone.
The Lakeview Challenge Pasture
This course is interesting to say the least. The course is in awful shape and I paid $10 which is about $8 too much since there is another par3 up the road that is much nicer for the price. That being said I have seen cow pastures that are in nicer shape than this course; however, they do have some entertaining holes.
The course is ranked daily from 1 to 10 (10 being the most difficult) and it is very similar to a putt putt golf course. They have one par3 that has a pond (a very nasty one) at the very edge of the back of the green, and it’s all downhill to the pond and sometimes the pin is set on the downhill part so if you miss you are in the pond.
This could be a much, much nicer track if it was maintained just a little, but for $10 it is not even close to being worth it. It's a $5 course at best. Play at your own risk, and the other reviews are definitely a shim/sham, either that or this is the only place they have ever played and they are not aware of what is out there.
Great Par 3
Great Par 3. I'm a beginner to golf & this is a great course to work on your short. I paired up with some guys who play it every week. So if you are in the area it's s great course & at a great price
Tiny and tough
You rarely get a clear shot on any hole because of the trees in the way, it's very challenging. Bathroom is smelly!
Don't let the idea of a par 3 course keep you away
Glad we played Lakeview, we were the only ones on the course, for the entire hour and a half. Great place to practice your short game. The challenge was hitting off matts. Trees everywhere, along with water, so you need to be accurate. Not a walk in the park as you might think. At $5 per person, can't complain. We shot a few birdies, lots of pars and a couple double bogies because of the crowned greens.
