Loved every minute
Just moved to the area last month and had heard this was an excellent course, having a good history and is becoming an excellent play to play once again. It did not disappoint. Played with my father, a higher handicap and he still had a blast. Very good mix of holes and each one a new challenge. Really impressed that the new owner took the time to come up and talk to us, as well as the gentlemen in the bar as we got some snacks at the turn were very friendly. Only reason I gave a 3 star for staff friendliness is that the guys mowing did not stop while we were on the tee, the same box they were mowing. I do not really have a problem with it but I do know many people do, Fairways are just a little hard, but not complaining there either as I got a few extra yards off of the drive ;) Will definitely make this one of my go to courses in the area.
Excellent Course and Atmosphere with new Administration!
Since 2014, this course has undergone a complete makeover with a change in administration, staffing, and overall feel. One of my favorite courses, and my most favorite people. Every hole has a different character, minimum blindness for approach shots, beautiful natural surrounding. The texture of the greens, approaches, fairways, and bunkers are becoming quality. The course is so interesting that it seems even the best players are constantly stimulated to improve his/her game in attempting shots. Lastly, the course is arranged so that the long handicap player, as well as the beginner is able to enjoy his round in spite of the fact that I pile up a big score! A definite ‘Hidden Gem.’
