Beautiful Fall Scenery on a Beautiful Course
Finally made here to play this stunning northwwoods course and it was worth the wait. WOW. What a course, what a layout, stunning views and greens.
Must play.
Amazing Northwoods Gem
Great course that's typically in good condition. Layout is truly unique and very fun. Often crowded and pace of play is sometimes an issue.
Up North Weekend
Love this course! I've played here many times. The fairways did have some dead spots but overall the course was in great shape. Greens were fabulous. Soft, yet fast. You will play every club in your bag. We got the twilight rate even though we played at 12:30.
this course has some real challenges
couse was in great shape, greens soft, tee boxes plush.
Course conditions were terrible
I have played this course many times and I have never seen it in bad of condition.
Fairways were pretty much dead and the greens were like putting in mud.
Thank god I booked a tee time on golf now at a discounted rate. And even at that I should have asked for my money back.
Nice course
Fairways had some fungus but otherwise a nice course
Nice course
The course is in great shape and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful
Great northern woods course
The course is a little tight. If you hit it left don't bother looking for it, it's in the woods. Somewhat forgiving if you hit it to the right. The course is not long but still challenging. One of the nicer courses in the area. Staff is extremely friendly.
No Reprieve
I have been playing this course for over 10 years and the course conditions are the best I have ever seen them. One complaint is the sand; composed of miscellaneous rocks. If you don't have a clean lie and don't feel like chipping your club then just pull out. Every hole is a challenge, wayward shots will be punished. You have to be aware of your lie because its never going to be flat, take that into consideration with every shot and don't go over the green and you can put yourself in contention. Hit em straight.
A true hidden gem!!!
I get up north every summer and this is a must play. Old course, 90 plus years, great conditions and greens. Great layout with a lot of diversity thrughout the round. Midwest friendly staff with a rustic pro shop and gravel driveway/parking lot hiding a wonderfully fun round of golf. If you get up north, don't pass this one by.
Hidden GEM in the Northwoods!
This course is tucked away into the woods just north of Minocqua. Very easy to get to, right off of HWY 51. We played early in the morning and the conditions were great. Staff were friendly as always and the greens were rolling smooth! Speaking of the greens, this course will challenge your iron play as their greens are very small and elevated. Always fun to stand on the 18th tee box and decide whether or not to go for the green. Wildlife is very common, have even seen a fox steal a golf ball from the green!
