Prairie Woods Golf Course tumbles across some of Wisconsin's most rolling terrain. On almost any point on the course, whether you're standing on the tees, the fairways, or the greens, the undulating landscape will put your skills of perception to the test. The golf course offers plenty of variety with a unique design on each hole. The rolling hills determined the strategic placement of the bunkers and there are water hazards coming into play on several holes. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes and reward a well thought-out shot, but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. The golf course is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees but the changes in elevation can make it feel longer. Besides being one of the most unique rounds in the area, Prairie Woods G.C. is also one of the most affordable.

Fantastic bang for the buck!
Love this course. It's tough if you want, and forgiving if you want. A couple of holes are among my faves in SE WI. Lots of variety, holes where you need to choose whether to be aggressive or safe. And the price? Best bang for the buck within a fifty mile range. Seriously!
Nice course, good challenge
Very friendly staff.

Pace of play was a little slow at times as some holes are pretty tight but they have a ranger and many people let you play through.
Free range balls is a huge plus!!
Tight Fun Course
I have driven by this golf course and always wanted to try it. Four of us played it Sunday morning with a Hot Deal from Golf Now! The course has a lot of tricky holes but it is quiet short. After the first hole we played the blue tees to give it more length. I was disappointed with the care of the greens and some of the sand traps had a lot of weeds in them. I would recommend giving it. A shot with a good deal.
Phenomenal features
Me and a friend from work has special needs and I’m flexible on the tees we play. He plays the gold tees & I would too. I normally play the white tees.
Extremely dry tee boxes
The tee boxes were like cement. Fairways pretty dry also! I’ll be back though because I’m sure Mother Nature had a big part in the current conditions!

Fun Layout
Fun layout, recommend playing the back tees. Greens were a little slow but in good shape.

Wild Ride
Loved the layout and use of the
Rolling forested land. Course is build inside of a farmers fields - farmer had golf course built on land he couldn’t farms. The result is this hilly course that was a last to play.
Great course, great staff, great value
I try to play Prairie Woods 2 to 3 times a week. It’s one of the best golf values in the area. The course if beautiful and in great condition. The staff are great. The course manager Joe and course attendant Michael, as well as the rest of the staff do everything they can to make each outing fun and enjoyable. This course is pleasantly playable for the mid to high handicapper while still providing a challenge to better golfers. The bar and balcony overlooking the 9th green only add to the post round fun. The scenery and layout of the course make Prairie Woods worth the drive from anywhere in the area.
Quality for your money
Great course, friendly staff. Front and back 9 are fairly different which is fun, good mix of long par 5s and short par 3s. Best course in the area for the $ by far

Joe and his team do a great Job. Course is always in great shape and they cover all the bases service wise. Just wish the players would fix their ball marks. But that’s everywhere in Wisconsin. Great place!
