Oaks at Edgewood Golf Course
About
Edgewood in Big Bend boasts two different 18-hole courses, the Oaks and the Pines. There is something for everyone no matter what skill level you are since the more challenging Oaks Course is perfectly complemented by the more forgiving Pines Course. The Oaks is routed through a diverse landscape of rolling hills covered with mature forests and lakes. It also winds alongside the Fox River. Water hazards come into play and there are also strategically placed bunkers to contend with. Tremendous emphasis is placed on accuracy on this golf course, but it is not too punishing if your shots are slightly errant. The course stretches to 6,800 yards from the back tees. A cart will be required on this golf course but the flatter, shorter Pines Course is much more walker friendly.

Course was wet but still in pretty good shape.
Pace of play not so good. Had twosome in front of us and another in front of them both of whom were very slow. Never saw a ranger all day. Why not combine groups or at least speed up play with a ranger?
Slow, slow, slow greens.
It was incredible how hard you had to hit a put to get it around the cup.
Fun course
We played some spring golf at Edgewood GC. Naturally the conditions were a bit rough given the time of year, but the course is pretty and challenging and I enjoy playing there. Once the greens start growing and are cut, it will help in trying to putt accurately.
Outstanding
Traveling across the country for work I've been blessed to play some pretty great courses. The Oaks course was no exception. The layout was phenomenal as well as the conditions. A nice little gem outside of Milwaukee and if I make my way around the area again I'll definitely be back!
The best back nine I’ve played in Milwaukee metro area
Course was wet but was expecting that after this terrible spring we’ve had. Always a good course and will keep playing for a long time.
Water
I’ve played this course a few times and have troubles getting water One day played it was 90° no water in the course except for some old pump yourself full of mold water hole in the Ground the Ranger gave me a hard time about a couple waters in a bag told me I couldn’t take them on there OK no problem except for we didn’t see the cart girl for but once per night And water was 2$ for a .25 Bottle you buy at Walmart So I went back this week and played had one big water bottle with me did not see the cart girl till the 9th hole and not at all on the back so if you plan on playing here plan on being dehydrated
Not worth the cost
$50 for weekend play?!?! Not worth the money at all. Tee boxes as well as some greens are burnt and have not been repaired. Weeds throughout fairways and some tee boxes. Slow play...collared shirts not enforced. Played with two guys who had tee shirts and Jean shorts. Took pics of condition of course...embarrassing. Some holes are cart path only due to location between ponds. No circulation in ponds = mosquitos!!!!!
Will not be back to this course even though they have 36 holes. I’m sure other course is similar. Can not walk Oaks due to distance between greens and certain tees.
Great course
Great shape, especially the greens. Just enough water and sand traps.
The course has very hard greens.
The greens are very fast and very challenging. The fairways need more grass. The mosquitos are very plentiful also.
KNATS and MOSQUITOES
Had to walk off the course after 9 holes.....absolutely ridiculous!!
Excellent Back 9
This course has an excellent back 9 that makes up for the just ok layout on the front 9. I give them a pass for dealing with the river that causes wet, rugged conditions at times on the front 9. If dry, the front 9 can be fun with quite a bit of water to challenge.
That being said, this course's signature is the back 9 that is a design you would get from a $50+ golf course. In addition, the back 9 usually has much better conditions. All around solid golf course that is worth playing for the back 9.
Great value
The course was busy but moved along well. Some areas were cart path only because of recent rains but the course was in good condition.
The course has very hard greens.
Most of the greens are very difficult and there is a lot of water on the course.
