Oaks at Edgewood Golf Course

Course is in pretty good condition. Pro shop staff very unprofessional. Could explain on line tee time charges a little better. Thought we paid taxes (which we did) and fees online but had to pay more taxes at the course. Starter telling people they have to golf together because they are backed up. Just an out right lie. Not one person behind us. Tee times were before 7 am. 2nd time at this course. Played 18. Good staff will keep people coming back. Not this time. Word of mouth is a killer.

Played 18 on the Oaks. I'll say the front 9 was the worst 9 holes I've experienced. Not only is the layout of that first 9 holes ridiculous, but it wasn't cut. We could barely distinguish between the fairways and the rough. In places, the fairways alone we're close to 6 inches long. The back 9 was much nicer, but still uncut. I know we had some rain, but this was ridiculous. All this and no warning of the conditions before hand by the two fellas in the clubhouse.

Very pretty. Challenging. Something new every hole.

Very nice 36 hole layout with a nice practice area. Course is in nice shape for early May. Staff is always friendly. If you haven't played here, you should make the trip.

Good variety. Front nine traditional, back nine Links style.

Our league has golfed here for more than 10 years. It has 4 9 hole courses ranging in difficulty from moderate to difficult. Good to see they were doing a lot of work on the course to ready it for the season.
John in the pro shop is great to deal with.

The starter Rick was a total jag. I got to the course about an hour early there was nobody waiting to tee off, and the starter was a total dick and refused to let me go out early very unprofessional and never will I play there again. He said they were booked solid yet nobody teed off for an hour.

This was BY FAR the worst golf experience I have ever had. The course was so backed up that it took almost 3 and a half hours just to finish the front nine. None of my foursome took the turn because it wasn't worth it. The marshal was driving around aimlessly but never once stopped to talk to anyone. On the third hole it was so backed up that there were 4 groups waiting to tee off at the same time after finishing the second hole. Absolutely terrible. I will never go back, not even for the rain check to play the back nine... which I paid to play today. What is the point of having an online booking system if you are going to overbook the entire course at that level? Absolutely awful. The only bright spot was that cart girl who came around three times to check on us. The fact that she was able to make it around the whole course 3 times should say something about the pace of play...

absolutely worst experience ever for last 15 years.
my tee time was 12;52, being able to tee off 1;15, it was 2 pm by the time we finished 2 holes.....it was 4pm by the time we were being able to finish 9 holes.
I had to get a rain check and the staff member didn't even say sorry......

I've played this course often. I believe it is one of the best values in metro Milwaukee. The course was wet as to be expected, but the greens were excellent. I made the tee time thinking with beautiful sunny blue skies we'd be able to enjoy a nice round of golf. Wow, that wind was cold!

Very well kept up. Greens were excellent. Very challenging. Over all really nice experience. Would recommend to play this course.

I've played this course many times, and have always enjoyed it. No different, this time. The layout is great with many challenging holes. I just picked a bad time to play, as the greens were recently aerated and very bumpy. Still, it would not stop me from coming back soon.

The course was in nice shape. We all wished we would have known the greens were aerated. Putting was tough. I would play again. It's a nice course for us average golfers

Played the Oaks. Front 9 was ok . Back 9 seemed to be a much nicer layout. Would recommend playing this course

Cart girl goes with the golfers not against, which slowed down pace of play even more. Our round took over 5 hours which isn't acceptable, especially with rangers.

Course conditions were fine, some holes are a little gimmicky but okay. I didn't see much that was particularly good about this course though and I'm not sure if I would play it in the future when compared to the other courses is southeast wisconsin.

It was an enjoyable day of golf on a nice course. Price was right too.

Always use golf now because it is a great value and is fast and easy

My best friend was in from out of town for a golf tournament and we decided to play another round early the next morning (6:44 am). We got right off and were blessed that all we had was a single in a cart a couple of holes ahead of us. We played 18 holes in a little over 3 hours and it was nearly a perfect morning. The Pines is a great course as well, but The Oaks is worth the extra dollars. The greens rolled SO good! It was my best putting round I have had.

We've played the Oaks course 4-5 times. It's notably scenic.. The hazards make play somewhat challenging without having to spend too much time digging out of messes. The fairways were inconsistent. Some were dry and patchy, others were deep and yet others were spongy. We were paired with a singleton which was fine. The pace of play was very good. The beverage cart was attentive and the cost was very reasonable. My assessment of the food is of little consequence since I had a pretty standard hot dog. It cost $35 each with a cart at prime time on a Sunday. This is not a country club type course, but it plays nicely and is a good deal.

Booked at the last minute, and was happy to get on. I played the Oaks course, and was really surprised at all of the different types of holes I encountered. Hole 1 looked like a normal hole that you would find on any municipal course, but from there on, I could not believe the variety of the next 17 holes. I was pleasantly surprised at what the adventure became. I was mostly surprised at how well I played, possible because I never was able to take for granted as to the next challenge to come at me. I had to think about almost every shot, and got to use nearly every club in my bag at some point. If I can, I will come back and play it again.
