Member who loves it!
Interesting layout. Lots of water. Front is more open and forgiving and the back is tight. Turf and greens are always excellent. Very reasonable price structure. Mostly local players and but lots of weekenders from the lake region surrounding Cumberland.
Nice little bar and food available but not sure of that schedule.
Great course
This is a gem of a course! Very challenging , but fun! You won’t be disappointed !!
JM
Hilly course with many water holes on back. Price was decent. Got a hot deal on GolfPass fir $11.00 per round walking. Decent restaurant and patio deck.
Great Course for the Money
The wife and I decided to try this course out. We walked the front nine and she ran out of gas as it is a very hilly course so I strongly suggest you rent a cart if you can. We will be back and with the foreknowledge will rent a cart. Course was in great condition the greens were a little hard and fast but in great condition. Lot's of water strategically placed to provide plenty of challenge.
Beautiful Course
Loved this course can be difficult at times but very awesome terrain and play was great
Course was in ok condition, but it took over 2 hours on front 9, and over 2 1/2 hours on back 9, ugh!
Gem in Wisconsin
Great course. Challenging. Greens in great shape. Many blind shots so first time learning curve. Good value.
Amazing condition
Course was in amazing shape. Greens rolled perfect. Great layout and challenging!
Didn’t play Course Overbooked Event
Arrived for our 2:30 tee time at 2:00. Was told we wouldn’t get on the course until 3:00. Then we were told we wouldn’t get on by 3:30 or 4:00. The club had way overbook a golf event. Yes. We saw 6-8 players standing around on greens. We left Cumberland and had a great experience at Turtleback near Rice Lake, WI. The course manager was juggling duties and probably why he was grouchy. I’ve had to call to get a refund after being told by manager that Golfpass would call to confirm Cumberland cancellation on the day of the cancellation. Never happened. Won’t go back to Cumberland. Plenty of good course in the area.
Cumberland GC looking great this year!
I’ve been playing Cumberland Golf Course for many years now on my annual summertime stay in Cumberland. The course looks very good this year and the grounds crew has done an excellent job cleaning out some of those near “out of bounds” areas where my ball usually flies, making them easy to find. The front 9 is an open layout with great fairways, elevated tee boxes, and the improvement on hole 9 with the new signature water hazard looks excellent. Whoever had the idea to make that improvement was genius. Combining those 2 hazards into a single hazard and adding the rock bank is a great touch. The back 9 was challenging as usual, but again the grounds crew has done a great job in cleaning out some key underbrush to improve playability. To help speed up play, Cumberland has a great marshall patrolling and they have removed the sand rakes so you don’t waste time raking out the traps. Overall—great!
