About
Kettle Moraine Golf Club is routed across a diverse landscape of wooded hills and wetlands, offering the ideal setting for parkland golf. The layout is on the shorter side at just over 6,400 yards but it calls for a variety of shots that will ensure golfers stay on their toes. The terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The undulations lend a different character to each hole and there are several interesting risk-reward opportunities available, which means golfers will have to employ a unique strategy for every hole. The front nine starts out gently but the golf course gets progressively more challenging as you move towards the back nine. Kettle Moraine G.C. has been a favorite of the Milwaukee area since it opened in the late 60s.

Nice Course
Overall great day, weather 65 degrees. only 1 issue - tee box on the 13th hole (par 3) is under repairs since last fall and looks like it will be sometime before it will be opened up for use...
Love the course though...if you can golf on the weekdays it has great deals thru GOLFNOW.com....
Leisurely day
We had a great time, the course is just hard enough to keep us high handicappers busy but not so hard as to be no fun. The bar tender was very nice and the other staff was friendly too
Solid Performance
I set myself up for failure because I took a beginner with me. We played in a foursome. I am a bogey golfer but was focused on the pace of play for the guys behind us. I had a great time laughing and trying not to laugh. There are a few really well laid out holes. Some course management is required. Not terribly long but definitely fun to play.

Just to be able to play in March is a treat, course in good shape but obviously wet. Always enjoy it. Challenging but plenty scoreable.
Roomy Course
The course is fairly wide open and good for those with mid to high handicaps. Watch out for the small pond in the middle of the fairway on 15, it doesn't show on the scorecard, and you cant see it from the tee. Try to play to the right side of the fairway, or if you can hit it over 220, play for the corner down the left side. The problem I faced when playing there, was that there is no ranger, and several slow groups ahead of me. It took almost 6 hours to play.
Tee Boxes
Probably some of the worst tee boxes I've ever seen. Hardly ever flat.

Got a good price on golf now. Played in a little over 4 hrs on a Sat afternoon.

Lack of customer service
Played with a foursome on the same day the course was hosting a wedding party. 92 degree day and no water on the course. Called clubhouse to advise no water and was told 'they were kinda busy as they had a wedding'. Gotta wonder what the course considers their bread and butter. Beverage cart employee had no personality, was out of several drinks advertised, no Guinness , no corona, no new castle. Also no lids for mixed drinks. Course was in average condition. We are frequent golfers and will look elsewhere to enjoy our rounds.
We are sorry about the water situation, we hope that you come back and give us another try because having no water as well as beverage cart stock is unacceptable!

played 18 with one other golfer, very nice pace, off 1st tee at 6:40 done at 10:15, course in very good shape, greens needed to be cut, I would add though they putted fairly fast and true, enjoyable day.Great value.

Great value!
I got a hot deal to play and it was worth it. I haven't played this course in 20 years but it was a lot of fun. Course overall was in good shape. The only issue were the tee boxes. A lot of uneven tee boxes made it difficult off the tee. They need some serious help. Nobody needs a tough lie or stance off the tee. A lot of challenging and pretty holes on the course. I played early so pace of play was great. Never waited on any hole.
Nice weekday in Wisconsin
We travel the country for our job. Searched the area for a course on golf now. Thought the name Kettle Moraine sounded interesting. First thought was limited parking. Clubhouse and pro shop are adequate. Playing the course, we loved the grass from tee to green. Well maintained and didn't see much sign of overplaying. The layout makes good use of the surrounding marsh area.

Great Value
Course is challenging enough for an established player, but can be enjoyed by anyone. It is well maintained and was in great condition considering the hot and extremely dry conditions that we have experienced as of late. Staff is friendly and professional. I booked a foursome for 18 holes with cart through GolfNow for a special rate of $36 per person, which in itself is enough to earn 5 stars for value, I did not the opportunity to make it to the 19th hole, but the beverage cart had an excellent selection and it was operated by a friendly young lady who managed to make a pass nearly every other hole. again, 5 stars for quality of food abd beverage.

Don't play early morning on weekdays
By the 11th hole, I was stuck in the middle of a league. After waiting a combined 40 minutes on 12, 13, and 14, I left the course early. They should not be offering tee times less than an hour before leagues. Avoid tee times before 8am on weekdays here. Pace of play is usually really bad here because they overbook tee times, but it's a nice course, and normally worth waiting for a 5hr round.

Slowest Front Nine Ever
Why have a starter if he allows a 6-some of nearly non-golfers to play ahead of us? 3 hours and 7 minutes for the front nine, the slowest nine of my entire career. I certainly would never come back to Kettle Moraine on a weekend. That soured me on this course, which had a few holes on the back which were quite pretty.

Well maintained and fun golf course
The course was is great shape. The greens are great and roll smoothly. The fairways are good. The course layout is very nice. Played 18 in 3 hours.

Nice course but they need help.
I have played Kettle many times in the past and enjoy the course itself. I have played 3X this year and each time has been agonizingly slow. We played on 6/20 and 2 hours and 15 minutes in were only finishing hole 6. We finally paired up with the twosome ahead of us hoping that would help but it did not. On hole 8, fed up with the pace we called the clubhouse and asked if they could do anything. We were told there was no ranger and they were busy. How do you not have a ranger on a Saturday afternoon? Anyways, finally at hole 12 we skipped ahead to hole 16. Everything was clear ahead and behind us from there on out. When we arrived at the clubhouse another patron asked us if the foursome that was holding everyone up had allowed us to pass. We told them, no and that we had given up and skipped 4 holes. It is frustrating to find out that one foursome that does not know what they are doing is what is holding everyone else up. Even more frustrating is a course that does nothing about it. Courses like this are why golf is a dying sport. Most peole don't have 7 hours on a Saturday to devote to golf. We played 12 holes and it took 4 1/2 hours we saw the cart girl on hole 6 and 17. We will not be going back anytime soon.

Loved this golf course
This was my first visit to Kettle Moraine Golf Course. I was very impressed with the condition and grooming of the course. Greens were excellent, now slow, not too fast....Layout was extremely impressive. I was at one time a low handicap player, but not as much now. I did think that the holes warranted some thought to selection of positioning the ball for a great overall challenge. Staff accommodated me very politely as I was late for my tee time due to bad map on my phone. I got on for under $30 on a Sunday which was a super bargain. I definitely recommend this golf course. Very much worth the drive from Muskego.
