Kettle Moraine Golf Club
About
Kettle Moraine Golf Club is routed across a diverse landscape of wooded hills and wetlands, offering the ideal setting for parkland golf. The layout is on the shorter side at just over 6,400 yards but it calls for a variety of shots that will ensure golfers stay on their toes. The terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The undulations lend a different character to each hole and there are several interesting risk-reward opportunities available, which means golfers will have to employ a unique strategy for every hole. The front nine starts out gently but the golf course gets progressively more challenging as you move towards the back nine. Kettle Moraine G.C. has been a favorite of the Milwaukee area since it opened in the late 60s.

In great shape
Only thing negative would be that the food quality can be upgraded. Otherwise the course is beautiful and we'll taken care of.
Poor staff
I paid money to golf and have a fun day out which I rarely get anymore these days. My only complaint was the bartender/server. I got some lunch at the turn (nobody behind us) and the lady tells me I am not allowed to eat my lunch inside. Now I have to carry my burger around on the golf cart bouncing around. I like the course but that will be my last time playing it.
Even after 3" of rain
Got to the course at 6:45 and found out walking only( paid for hot deal w/ cart). All three of us said what the heck and walked it. The condition of the course was awesome. The greenest course I ever played. Glad I walked it( i've played it about 6 other times but always in a cart), the beauty of the course came to life. Seen 3-4 deer, a couple of hawks and a good amount of Sandhill cranes.I think only one other golfer was out that morning. Greens where smooth and fair. Tee boxes and fairways in awesome shape. Due to the amount of rain we did deal with some water in fairways and the bunkers became ponds:), what the heck a free drop:). Will be back a couple of more times this year hopefully.
Great condition
Have played KM for years but first time in 2 yrs, course in best condition I can remember.
Pace of play was slow though.
KMG Course
Great Course for the price you can get on Golf Now or before 8am. Somewhat challenging but reasonable distance and fun to play.
excellent value
This was my first time playing this course..I truly enjoyed the course. The condition of the course was excellent, the speed of the greens was a fair challenge...quick..but not excessively....for someone like myself who only gets out once or twice a week I thought the speed was good. The pace of play was good..just over 3 1/2 hours for 18 for me and a buddy...Overall a really nice combination of quality and value
Nice course
We had a good time. Course was well-maintained. Nice area.
Good Pace, Good shape
We Played on Sunday and Our round of 18 was about 4.5 Hrs, which is not bad on a Sunday afternoon,. Course was in good shape.
Nice layout, tough on a windy day.
Nice and challenging particularly on this windy day. Lots of hilly holes. Large greens in good shape. Will play again.
Spring Start Up
A beautiful Easter morning, what better thing to do but play golf on the first real spring day in Wisconsin. Was pleasantly surprised at the course conditions considering the extended winter that we had. The greens were in very good conditions and came through the winter remarkably well. The majority of the course was still in recovery mode waiting for some warmer weather to green up.
Surprisingly, the traps were in the best condition I can remember. This has always been a favorite course of my wifes for many years. The value was outstanding and we nearly had the entire course to ourselves, played at a comfortable pass and was still done in 3 hours.
Great course for a great value
I play Kettle Moraine pretty often. They have great early and late season rates and the course always seems to be in decent shape. A buddy and I walked 18 this weekend and payed $16 (would be $26 with a cart). In the summer it can get pretty busy and play can get rather slow. As far as difficulty, the course is pretty average. There is a lot of room around the fairways so if you're not accurate off the tee, you usually still have a good look at the green. Overall, I highly recommend this course for a nice, inexpensive round.
beautiful golf venue
Kettle Moraine is a beautiful , challenging, well maintained golf course. The only issue we had was the pace of play of the foursome in front of us 20-25 minutes per hole.
Not bad for early April
A decent course to play. The 11th and 12th holes were in terrible condition. The fairways were sponges and the ball plugged if you hit it in there. you were better off being in the rough. Most likely due to deep frost getting out of the ground after a long winter. All in all, the greens were in about as good of shape they could be in for early April. I would try course again later in the summer, seems to be a decent value for the money
above average condition
kettle moraine was in great condition for the quick round we played after the packers game on 10/06. i was pretty happy with the 42 i shot on the front 9.
always a good value
they have improved some holes that used to be soggy in the past, very player friendly course, pace of play can be slower during the week due to a lot senior players
Always enjoy this course
We were able to tee off before our scheduled tee time. The course was in good condition considering the amount of recent rain. Greens were in good condition. Rough was deep, but not any worse than other courses in the area.
would be better if they hadn't aerated the greens already
It will be better in a few weeks when the greens grow over the holes.
course was pretty good
liked the course. well maintained. certain staff members could be friendlier
Expected much better!
Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. However the gal behind the bar was unfriendly and close to being down right rude! The course pace was ridiculously slow. Not only were we waiting at every tee, but every shot was delayed while waiting for the hole to clear. If we had moved more quickly I would recommend this course - but I can play the Milwaukee County course considerably more quickly!!
I thought the course was very good except the pace of play was terrible and the ranger did nothing to improve it...I think the course was overbooked and every 8 minutes for tee times is a little too fast between groups and made it a miserable day to golf with a 6 hr round!!
