Fox Lake Golf Club
About
Fox Lake Golf Club originally opened in 1922 as a nine-hole course and it remained that way for over eight decades until in 2004, a second nine was added. Since there was such a large gap in between when the two nines were created, the course has an interesting character that combines both traditional and modern elements. There are several tough doglegs to contend with and they can be especially hard to maneuver on windy days. A few water hazards come into play in the form of ponds and a meandering stream that runs alongside some of the holes, including what is arguably the golf course's toughest. The par-4 eighth hole doglegs right with a narrow fairway and a small, undulating green. Those who play it smart will favor the left on their tee shot.

Good Value
We enjoy coming here because you get a mixture of tall grassland golf and wooded golf. Plus there par 5s are some of the toughest in the area.
Nice Course
The weather was great, which drew out many players so the course was very busy.
Course was over booked. Had a 45 minute wait from scheduled tee time before being able to get on the course. Foursomes took 4 carts because they didn’t want to sit together so other groups had to wait around for carts to become available.
Staff were extremely friendly, beverage girl was friendly and fun, and food was good.
Good course for the money. Will play again.
Sure
This is not my first round at this course. I played a few times last year and once this spring. So I am not a regular but I am a seasoned golfer. Today was unbearable. There was 2 groups of 3 that took 3 hours to play the front and did not let us play through when we caught them on one. We were the only players on the entire front nine. At the turn we went in for a drink and had to wait nearly 20 min and the horrible staff asked "do you want something" when she finally walked away from her friends and phone. Since the course was in good shape and the hot deal price was worth it i will try again to play here but if my experience is not outstanding I would never pay to play this course again.
Fox Lake
Play this course several times a year. Always seems to be in great shape even after a heavy rain. Friendly staff and I’ve rarely had an issue with pace of play. A great mix of parkland style and fescue filled links type holes.
Nice Course, Slow Play
The course is really fun to play. You get two styles of golf in one day. The course was in great condition. The view of the lake was nice. My biggest problem was all of the tee times stacked up. There was a lot of standing and waiting.
Bill’s Day
Greens were in great shape for this time of year. Not a hard course but a fair one. It’s one of our favorite courses.
Great for the Price
Fox Lake does a great job of mixing a long grass course with a wooded course. It also has some tight fairways but also some that let you swing away. I enjoy making the drive up to the course.
Avoid this place
After playing the front nine, we arrived at the tenth tee to find a backup of 4 groups. The club had let 3 groups start on the tenth hole. There is no way that should happen. The people running the course should know better. I will tell people to avoid this course.
Average course
Great views. Decent course. Staff not wearing gloves or masks. Beverage cart servers not wearing gloves or masks, and preferred cash. Average greens. Biggest positive is the great scenery.
Course was ok. Wouldn't pay much more for it.
Golf now has been great to use
Fun Local Course
Used to be a 9 Hole course, but they added a second 9 in 2004. It's still very easy to distinguish the old 9 from the new 9 - one plays like a links-style course with fescue and the other like a municipal course with unkept rough and trees.
Lakeside views and a few holes give you a nice look at the water tower in the distance, sunset through the trees. Even the most basic of updates - new yardage stakes/markers, new flag sticks, hole signs - could make the course seem a lot more updated. It's otherwise a fun course to play if you're in the area and should be part of your Dodge Co./Green Lake tour of courses.
