Fire Ridge Golf Club
About
Fire Ridge Golf Club in Grafton, Wisconsin is a public course but it boasts the amenities and service of a private country club. It is not as well known as some other courses in the area and might possibly one of the state's best-kept secrets. The golf course stretches to more than 7,000 yards from the tips and was ranked as one of Wisconsin's top 20 toughest courses. Mature trees shape the numerous doglegs and there are also water hazards that come into play throughout Fire Ridge. There is an interesting mix of holes including challenging par 4s, with the most difficult being the 16th. There are no surprises on this tricky hole because it's tough enough on its own. Golfers should aim to keep it in the fairway and place the second shot below the hole, making sure not to miss the green long or else they're be facing a fast downhill chip shot.

Great layout.
Very nice course. Friendly staff. Would play again.
We're so pleased to hear it! Please come and see us again soon.
A tough test
Great shape and fun layout. Par 3’s very doable. A few tricky blind shots where course knowledge and/or quality gps may be beneficial.
Great day at Fire Ridge
This is a fun course to play! You can find your way into trouble on a number of holes. Very good layout and just a fun and pretty course to play!
Under repair
Good layout course. Awesome greens even with people not fixing ballmarks. Fairways were still soaked after what I would think was not a lot of rain a lot of ground under repair areas also. Bunkers were filled with water and 75% unplayable. I would play again and if these issues were fixed would be an excellent course.
Chilly day
A cool sunny day turned cloudy and cold. The only negative was that greens were beat up a bit and sand traps were muddy.
Fireridge is a great course, usually great for fall color, color was not great, we may be too early.
Fireridge
There has been a ton of rain lately, creating ponding throughout course, especially in sand traps. Cart path between 17& 18 was under water.
There were also a ton of insects, mosquitos, that were very annoying.
Management is doing a great job of dealing with these issues. Course fun yet difficult
Decent but expected better for the price.
I’ll start off with we’ve gotten a TON of rain in the past couple weeks so the standing water around the course was no big deal and to be expected. The course wasn’t in to bad of shape for how much rain we received. That is until you got to the greens. They rolled relatively good, but the amount of un-repaired ballmarks was mind boggling. I’m not sure as to why but it was really disappointing to see. Very reminiscent of The Bog as well with the amount of blind shots. One other thing to note, the sand traps were lackluster and full of stones. For the GolfNow rate of $65 we paid it wasn’t terrible but for that money I think I would go elsewhere. It’s not Fire Ridge’s fault, more so the patrons that aren’t helping take care of the course and repairing their ball marks.
Love this course
Unique holes. Greens were quick and have lots of character. Staff was friendly. Ranger really did a great job keeping the pace of play fast. I really enjoy golfing at Fire Ridge. The Hot Deals you can get there are an excellent value for the kind of course. Must try at least once. Doubt you will be disappointed
Fire Ridge was GREAT.
My wife, brother and I had the opportunity to play Fire Ridge two days in a row. My wife and I live in Atlanta and it was such a pleasure to play golf in Wisconsin. Fire Ridge is such a nice course. Very fair for both men and women. Greens were in wonderful shape. Fairways and tee boxes were in top shape as well. Beautiful Wisconsin course with woods, wildlife, and peace & quiet. No residential community to ruin the views, but that means the tall grass in the rough makes it tough to find a wayward drive. Staff was friendly. Nice driving range and putting green. The layout of the course reminds me of The Bog, but for a lot less. We will definitely be back.
Great Course to challenge your Game
Visiting from out of State, happened to find this Course nearby that has been a nice surprise.
It will definitely challenge your game both with its rolling greens and with some unique fairways.
It was in great condition and we will definitely keep it in mind to play again!
Challenging course
May no be in the most optimal conditions but Fire ridge will give you a good variety of holes that will challenge every club in your bag
Great Course for being public
This is very nice. There are a lot of blind spots, but other than that it was enjoyable to play.
Nice corese except bunkers
Great course except for the concrete like bunkers. Would play again if bunkers were given some major attention.
