Songbird Hills Golf Club
About
Opened in 1992, Songbird Hills Golf Club began as the dream of longtime Hartland resident, Hal Hoffman. He started designing the course more than 20 years before construction began in 1990, before he even owned the land. Hoffman persevered and eventually established the course that exists today. There have been some improvements over the years, including redesigning the 17th green and putting in an additional water hazard on the 13th, but overall, Hoffman's classic layout hasn't changed much. The golf course's design takes advantage of the rolling terrain and sparkling ponds. The undulating nature of the terrain gives each hole a unique look and different set of challenges. Songbird Hills Golf Club will give you a fair test, but beginners can still feel confident when approaching the course. As its name would imply, numerous songbirds call the area home. Bluebird houses even serve as the 150-yard markers.

No warning
At the value listed on GolfNow, maybe I should have expected it, but to play golf 4th of July weekend on greens that were clearly punched recently was highly disappointing. The shop attendant was below average in regards to friendly service.
Fun course
Songbird is a very nice golf course. Its in really good shape. Great value! Looking forward to a return.
Nice course, terrible layout
Course layout is the worst I think I’ve ever played. Crammed a 18 hole course in a relatively small area. Constantly in jeopardy of getting blasted by another tee shot. Greens butted up right next to another green. Good course for a casual golfer. Very forgiving straight fairways. Nice greens with moderate difficulty. Was kept up well especially with it being late September golf. Only downside is the layout.
Hi, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Songbird Hills Golf Club. We hope to see you again in the future.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful layout. Fun, challenging if not very long. Course was in fantastic shape. Fairways were green and short, greens were fast but very receptive. Only real drawback to the day was they really packed 'em in. Pace of play was slow. Our foursome wasn't rushing and we kept having to wait for the foursome in front of us. Several holes have fairways that slope down and make it tough to know where the group in front of you is. People don't always ring the bell to let you know it's clear. Need to space groups out more. Otherwise it was a highly enjoyable round of golf on a beautiful early-fall day.
Worth a visit
Songbird is a great course to play in the fall. It's in great shape and will challenge all levels of play. Looking forward to playing it again before the snow comes.
Playing in the rain
Had the course essentially to ourselves. Even in a constant rain, staff, course conditions, and pace of play was great
Let's go again
First time ever at Songbird Hills and have to say both myself and my playing partner were very pleased. Lots of twists and turns as well as some bunkers and rolling greens to keep you thinking. Condition was great and this is a very scenic and nicely decorated course, really impressed with that part of it.
It was a little weird at the "turn" as we had some difficulty finding the 10th tee, not the standard or "usual" change over from front to back that I have become used to. Maybe some additional or different signage might help someone new to the course.
All said and done, we both agreed that we will definitely go back and have already booked that round.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.

Fun Course
This course is well-maintained. It is short, but the greens are tough.
Thank you for taking time to provide feedback regarding our course conditions. We appreciate all feedback so we can ultimately provide better service and value to our customers.
Unfortunately, most golf courses must aerate at least once annually. We performed the aerification on June 30 and July 1 - typically a slower week due to the holiday.
We notified GolfNow of this in advance, so that they could include the Aerification Warning symbol [ A! ] on their 'Hot Deal' tee times, but sadly they did not do so, and we as golf course operators have to deal with the fallout.
All of the tee times that Songbird Hills posted (not 'Hot Deal' times) were correctly marked with the Aerification Warning symbol. Also, any golfers who booked through our own reservation system or over the phone were notified as well.
Greens recovery is fairly quick - within 7 to 10 days - so they are already back to pretty good shape. We hope that you'll come back to Songbird to play again, as the greens will remain in great shape the rest of the season.
