Thornberry Creek at Oneida - Legends Championship Course
About
Situated just outside of Green Bay, Thornberry Creek at Oneida is perched atop one of the highest peaks in Brown County. The club offers 27 holes of golf with the Championship 18 and the original nine-hole golf course. The Championship Course presents plenty of variety, starting and ending with holes that are reminiscent of the Wisconsin Northwoods and a middle section that feels as though you've been transported to Arizona or south Florida. There are more than 70 strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout the golf course as well as 11 water hazards. Risk-reward opportunities are abundant though it is not a terribly punishing course so beginners shouldn't be too intimidated. Locals of the Green Bay area consider this to be one of the best public golf courses in northeast Wisconsin.

One of the best in the area.
I always look for opportunities to play here. Though the regular rates can be a bit high, you get a great course for the money. Each hole has character and challenge. My only criticism is that I would like to see the pins moved a little more frequently as the cups were showing wear with the edges rounding over quite a bit. Staff is always very friendly, especially the starters, which goes a long way for a positive start to the round!
Challenging and beautiful!
Excellent course conditions. Will challenge even the best golfers.
Poor Service/Slow Play
Played as a foursome, teed off late because a group in front of us cut in front of us. (There is no starter or ranger ever working.) Our tee time was 3:15 and ended up going off at 3:30 which wasn't that much of a problem. However, the group that cut in front of us golfed incredibly slow, and never let us play through. And again, there is no ranger to help with pace of play. We called into the club house on the 13th hole after being out on the course for 4 hours. They claimed that there was nothing they can do about it. When we got in, we were issued these "buy one greens fee and get the second greens fee free." Seems simple enough, right? Went to use it a week later, and was greeted by a very rude employee in the clubhouse who was snarky. Apparently I was suppose to know that the buy one get one greens fee free doesn't actually mean you get a greens fee free. Go figure. Never will go back.
Terrific Course
Played 18 holes on 8/13. Purchased round on GolfNow for $18 with a cart included. Course is in terrific shape and challenging from the tips. Cart girls were by every hole it seemed like which was even more of a bonus. Definitely recommend this course as it seems to be in terrific shape considering the less than stellar winter.
Nice golf course
Thornberry is a challenging golf course, well manicured and in fabulous shape. It's a long open course done in links style with plenty of trouble if you can't hit the fairways, but still fair for the average golfer. It might be too much for a beginner.
My girlfriend and I are average golfers and we had a great time. Mens league was in front our round and it got a little slow towards the last 8 holes. I would recommend golfing here if you want a step up from the average golf course.
Very nice course. Less than average experience.
We had a 4:39 tee time. Teed off a 1/2 hour late due to an outing that finished late. Tense situation on first tee as several groups wanted to get started. Weren't able to finish the round due to darkness and slow play.
Great Course.
Was a great course to play. Had maybe my best 9 hole ball striking of the season on the back 9. Challenging but inviting as well. I can see why the Green and Gold are affiliated with this course.
Challenging and beautiful..
Been wanting to play here for a while, glad I did. Tho it doesnt have a full range there was two Packers giving a kids clinic as I warmed up, so that was a bonus. The course its self was in excellent condition. Many tight challenging tee shots and accuracy is a must. Fairways and tee boxes were fantastic. Greens rolled pure. I very much injoyed playing here. The staff was friendly, from the pro shop to the starter and the waitresses in the lounge after, everyone made us feel welcome. I'd recommend to anyone to play here. Food was very good as well. I will be back to play next time I'm in the Green Bay area.
This course is a great deal
Everything was great great during the round of play. The course was is great condition and the pace of play was just under 4 hours. The only negative was they changed the 19th hole drink deal. You need to fill out a course comment card to get the deal it is no longer your total score. The guy who runs the food area was the bartender and never said a word about it.
5 star course
Excellent. Course. Great condition. Fun holes to play
WE BEAT THE WEATHER
THREATING RAIN ALL DAY, IT STAYED NICE AND THE FAMILY HAD A GREAT TIME. VERY CHALLENGING BUT FAIR.
Wonderful Afternoon
I played the 18-hole course alone and everyone was very friendly ! . Throughout the play the beverage cart and marshall were present, but, not bothersome. I am a 40-45 per nine and it (played the whites, I do have a solid drive) took several holes to adjust to the fair, but, quick greens (stick to the "leather" for gimmies']. Enjoy a fine afternoon !.
Thornberry Rocks...
A great course. It was challenging, fun and an excellent bargain! One of the best in the midwest.
Great Value
Thornberry Creek is a very nice challenging course. It is well kept and the greens are in pretty good shape. I do recommend this course if you are in the Green Bay area.
Thornberry Creek At Oneida
this course is one of the better course in the green bay area. love it reminds me of the courses in fl tough but everything is in front of you
price is a joke
Course in decent shape but regular price for this course this area is a complete joke, only way I wil play is if I get a deal for less than 45, otherwise Royal St.Pats and Brown County which is a few miles away blows this course away without question and has perfect greens now, and clubhouse guys ouch that's all I can say
dick buchholz
price was right, course was in great shape, regular rates are way too expensive for the green bay market
Nice course
Enjoyed all aspects of the course only negatives would be for the quality could have gps on carts
Great deal
I love playing this course, and the GolfNow Hot Deal was awesome! Some spots on the course were a little rough, but it was early season, so no biggie.
