Great Value for the Money!
The course was great, we had a blast but they really need to get a clubhouse! Buying the building they were leasing should be a no brainer!
Lucky 13
Yes, this course is only 13 holes. No it doesn't really matter. They are 13 good holes in my opinion and worth playing. The course is managed by a non-profit organization and don't have the resources to keep the course in pristine condition, but it's a great community golf course. The only real downside is that there are several long walks from green to tee, but most people take a cart so that won't matter. This isn't the best course or the prettiest course you will ever play, but I always enjoy playing it nonetheless.
Not a Terrible course, unfriendly staff
New pro was very rude to my playing partner and I for parking the cart on the grass instead of leaving it on the path when I was near the 9th tee box. I wasn't near the tee box, literally just off the cart path. Now, if this course had cart paths throughout, I would think to stay on them. But most holes don't have any at all. The pro gave me a good 5 minute lecture as to why I would go up there? He shouldn't have to rope off that way. Well, I guess you do.
Not what they say
The course is 13 holes. They say that you can play 5, 9, 13, or 18. We wanted to play 18 and the golfnow reservation was for 18. When we got to the course the staff was very unfriendly and told us that it we could only play 13 because they had a golf outing. Why post the tee time if you can't accommodate it!!! Also, review the map location. If you plug the address into a GPS it will take you to the old clubhouse, which is now the maintenance shed. This is on the opposite side of the course from where the new clubhouse is located
Good place to play
It's really nice place to play in generally. This course is not difficult and not easy. It's a general course.Good place to practice. The only bad thing is it just have 13 holes.
Best is yet to come
This course has really come a long way over the last couple of years since being purchased and rehabbed.
They are in the process if building a gorgeous new clubhouse that looks close to completion. Due to the construction and location if the temporary clubhouse, navigating the course can be a bit tricky. This isn't a course I'd want to walk and play.
The course conditions were amazing, especially with how dry it's been recently.
The course only has 13 holes, so if you are playing 18 and using a golf app on your phone, be prepared that the last 5 holes won't align correctly. I would expect the apps to correct this once the course layout is finalized after construction.
Overall we really enjoyed playing this course and will be back.
Open Fairways, Fast Greens
The course was very well kept up, everything was maintained and green and looked great.
The fairways are pretty wide open, not too many trees, few sand traps and very little water hazards.
The greens were very very fast, even when there was still dew on the ground, the ball would just zip around. It was very difficult to stick anything, always had to just lightly tap.
Overall the course was great, the open fairways was nice to be able to try and gain a little more distance, and the tough greens still kept it challenging for pitches, chips, and putts.
The new clubhouse that's being built looks great. Once the construction is finished, and there is an easier flow from hole to hole, it will be even better.
Beautiful new clubhouse
Fairways were green. Greens are fast but roll true. Traps had recently added sand and were difficult to play out of with soft well manicured sand. Once the new clubhouse opens and the holes are reconfigured this will become a gem once again. You need to make the trip to play this course!!
This course DOES have great features...
Presently operating out of a temporary clubhouse structure... but a brand spankin' new facility is being constructed and was presently being roofed as we played. Looking forward to completion...and the course layout will be permanently changed once the club is operational later in the Season. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are well maintained and groomed at this stage. Some sand traps could use work to upgrade their conditions but that process is in the planning stage, hopefully. Greens a very fast and they 'hold' the line' well for putting.... progress is being made every day! Course design is intriguing [choice of 9, 13 or 18 holes] makes for a fun day for golfers of all abilities. Give it a try... think you'll find it time well spent!
Will be a good course.
Course is in good shape considering the construction of the clubhouse. Was a little confusing which way to go with the construction going on. Otherwise was good. Has potential to be a good course when everything is finished. Would recommend.
Fun course to play.
The layout is fun and the greens were great. 13 holes is fine with me. Took only 21/2 hours.
