Lovely Day at the Links!!
The course was in great condition. Greens were a bit slow early on but as they dried out were very true. Course was not overly crowded, pace of play was very relaxing, not rushed, will definitely be back soon.
Brighton Dale Blue
Course was in great shape. They just need someone to fix some of the ball marks on the greens. Was about as good a shape as seen.
Overall quality ABOVE par
This course was awesome. The course was groomed beautifully and the greens were in great shape. It was a difficult course with quite a few narrow holes but still a ton of fun.
Brighton Dale Blue
Great course, played from the blue's, more challenging at the longer tee's. Golf now had a great deal for Brighton Dale. We played the White course first, both courses were in excellent shape.
Soggy Success
Our foursome play was slowed due to cart path only (due to soggy fairways around much of the course from recent rain) and our amazing ability to disburse our shots all over the place!
To be fair to the course, the layout is exceelent, providing an even level of competition for all. The greens were not cut tight, so you had to pound your putts to the pins! Fairways were also thick, which allows high handicap players to get under the ball and make better shots.
The food in the house and service of the cart team was fantastic, as was the rest of the staff.
good course
Course was in good shape, considering it gets played a lot. Good time.
Excellent public course
Bring lots of insect repellent. Mosquitoes are awful. Course is in great shape otherwise! Rough has been longer and deeper than usual.
Brightondale
Nice course, greens in good condition, fast pace at 645 in the morning
Decent layout, but rain took its toll
I played this course on a Sunday morning. It was pretty busy, but decently organized. The course is a decent layout, but recent rain destroyed the bunkers. There are several areas of pretty severe winter kill as well. Overall, the greens were in pretty good shape. Fairways were a little shaggy, but that could also be due to the recent rain.
I like this course, but would avoid the food concessions unless you are just looking for a hot dog or a drink. The concessions are understaffed, and it seriously shows with any cooked food. Stick to the easy stuff.
Great time
Brightondale is awesome and a blast to play. Be prepared to lose balls if your a high handicapper but still worth it
great value
this course is a lot of fun, can be very challenging
great place to meet friends between Milwaukee and Chicago.
Very good course and a great value
A really strong, straightforward course. Fairways lined with big mature trees, excellent bunkering, and soft well maintained conditions make it a pleasure to play. For a county course, they do a great job keeping it in nice condition. The pricing of this course is quite reasonable, even without the great deal from Golfnow. This course gets quite busy in the summertime and the pace of play can get slow, but otherwise its a great experience.
Very open, "Everything plays"
Great place to play. Ok value. Lots of choices. friendly staff. Needs a lot of improvement at the concessions. To slow to get a hot dog @ the turn.
A great fall golf experience.
For a mid-October round the course was in excellent condition. Greens have not and apparently will not be aeriated this fall on the Blue Course. Fairways, tee-boxes, sandtraps, etc., all were in mid-season shape. Greens would not be categorized as lightening fast. They were however, in excellent shape and all putts rolled very true. I have played the 2 Brightondale courses numerous times this year and hope I can sneak another chance in before the season ends.
Great course.
Course was in great condition as always. My new favorite course. Great value for the price. Course is very scenic n gorgeous. Definitely recommend checking it out.
NIce course to play.
This is a nice course. Lined with pines and hard woods. Fairways are in good shape, off the fairway is hard ground. Leaves are falling already so it's a must to stay on the fairway. Tees are very nice. Greens are well kept.
Great value.
Excellent course for the price. Won't find Many muni courses this nice.
great value
The course was in very good condition for a county course. The course is very challenging. Would certainly recommend this course.
Better than average course and rates
We play early so we finished mostly under 4 hours or better. The course is well maintained and the ground crew are very respectful and understanding of players eagerness to hit balls and get out of the way. The greens are nice as we as the fairways. You cannot ask for a more better well maintained golf course.
Really GREAT course...just 1 problem
This is a great course that I really enjoyed playing. As far public COUNTY courses go...this is probably the best I have played. I only have ONE issue with this course...the GREENS are terrible. Ball marks, cleat marks, and the greens just do NOT looked maintained at all. Otherwise, I would tell anyone to play this course.
