great place to play
You wouldn't know its a county course. Grounds are kept up. Its a fun place to play and for the price can't beat it.
Great Value
Great challenge for mid handicap players. Would recommend to anyone. I would have preferred a faster pace of play but it is a County Course open to all levels of play so I did anticipate the slower pace.
Very well maintained
Greens were a little slow but in really good shape.
Great course for the money
This is not your average county course. The park setting and overall experience left us very pleased with our round.
there are no short par 3's here and the course is very challenging but the Greens played very nice
love the course very challenging playing from the blues so that's why we had to go to the whites in the back nine but had no problems running up to the greens could you use some better 150 markers other than that I wouldn't have many issues with the course
IT WAS A GREAT VALUE AND A VERY NICE COURSE
There were three of us and one person golfs once a year. I have played here before and have told others about it. We did let a few play thru, and some golfers just jumped in front of us as we had one person that was really just learning.
Bring your bug spray
This course was a great deal for $14. Narrow fairways made the course challenging, but the large greens helped out a lot. Course was in great condition. The only issue with this course was the grass around the ponds was high which led to a lot of Mosquitos. Overall for under $20 this course is a steal.
Great course at a reasonable price
I haven't played there for a few years but on friends recommendation decided to give it a go. The greens were in nice shape and very well taken care of, would like to see the other golfers do a better job repairing their pitch marks. The fairways also were in excellent shape. There were a couple tee boxes that didn't match the quality of the rest of the course but overall an excellent course. The staff was very friendly and attentive and am looking forward to playing this course more times this year
Super Nice Course
I had the opportunity to book a hot deal for this course while I was in town.
It's definitely one of the nicest courses I have played recently. If this course was in St. Louis, it would be considered among, if not the, nicest course in the area.
The course itself is absolutely meticulously maintained and the greens are fast and well-manicured. If people would fix their ball marks, the greens would be flawless. This is obviously not the courses fault, so I am not blaming them for that.
The layout is nice. Fairways are a little skinnier than I am used to , but my driver was cooperative, so that wasn't a problem, either.
Overall, like I said, this is a great course to play. Next time I am in town, I am going to try the other 18 holes (I played Blue Spruce or whatever it is called.)
Great course for a county course
Fairways were tight and challenging. Well maintained with clear cut differences in fairways and rough. Greens well manicured and fast. Greens were comparable to higher end courses in the area.
Hidden Gem
Great chalenging course with lots of water and narrow fairways in play. Great course for all your clubs and great scoring opportunities with some short par 4"s and 5's. Overall, great experience. Nice warm up driving range, also put and chip area. Can't wait to try the Birch.
For a county course it's a great course and challenging
The conditions of the course is fairly well kept and again for a county course, it in great shape and hope they can continue to maintain it. Would recommend this course 100%.
course was good, hospitality lacking.
Course pro not very hospitable. Didn't seem to appreciate our coming out on a cold and rainy day.
Great day of golf.
When pulling up to clubhouse your pulled right into a world of golf. They have a pro shop, food, drink, and more. There are 3 courses, two 18's and a 9 hole that's just a blast. Course is maintained and offers challenge to your game.
Home Course
This is kind of my home course so there may be some partiality.
The last couple of years there has been a lot of effort put into improving the conditions on this course. They have always been kept in great condition, but the greens were nothing special.
Now the greens are being well maintained and they are really making an effort to keep them shorter and faster. Overall the course looks beautiful, has a good degree of difficulty and is making continual improvements.
