Opened in 1929, Maplecrest Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Kenosha County. It is conveniently located a surprisingly short drive away from Chicago's northern suburbs. This challenging public course has long been a favorite amongst locals both for the playable design and the affordability. The golf course is relatively flat although there are a few subtle contours that can cause some tricky uneven lies. Watered fairways and fast greens protected by bunkers provide the bulk of the course's challenges though it is still quite forgiving if your shots are slightly errant. It is a course that beginners can approach with confidence but it still has plenty to offer for more advanced golfers. One good example is the difficult green on the sixth hole, which stands out as one of the toughest in the area.

I drove from Illinois to play this course for the second time, that is how much I enjoy playing the course. If it wasn’t so far away I would play much more often.
Always enjoy golfing at Maple Crest
It is a nice course. I can’t believe today I had so many of the sand traps. But I did get out of the one that has the wood around it .in one hit I Actually got out of it.very much a accomplishment.
Great Price, but we wish we had been warned about the 40m person outing booked for 11am!
We booked on-line and chose noon as our T Time. Unfortunately, the 11 am to noon hour was shown as vacant, when in reality, there was a 40 person outing taking that spot. Needless to say, play was excruciatingly SLOW! The Pro Shop blamed Golf Now for the error! We ended up playing the front nine twice as the outing decided to take a lunch break for 45 minutes! UNACCEPTABLE!
Cow paddock
Course looks like it hasn’t had any water in months, extremely dry, greens dry, fairways like concrete.
Would have been better playing in a cow paddock.
Dry..
T box and greens are beautiful but fairway and rough are too dry..
Golf Now - Terrible
The golf course was closed for the day. golf now allowed us to book. They had an all day event. We went to the course and had to wait 30 minutes to T off and our teatime was already for 4:37 PM. Will be finishing in the dark.
Could be awesome!
Course needs some TLC. Great layout, cool retro feel but needs some serious maintenance. This place could be a 5 star course with some work and money.
Great course and great price
Fantastic course, the people at the pro shop were fantastic as well! Would definitely go back again!
Had a great time, friendly staff and a lot of fun!
HOT & DRY
GREENS & MOST TEES O>K> most fairways burn out good for roll but all very tight lies!!!
Decent for the money
It's getting better each time I go, greens need a little better work, but its decent course for the money, long course.
Very good
For the money value, This is a very good course, for beginners and for those with better than average skills. Staff was MOST FRIENDLY and ACCOMMODATING. Preston was of tremendous help, and made you feel most welcome. Overall you cant beat this course
