Marshfield Country Club
About
Opened in 1923, Marshfield Country Club was one of the first golf courses in the area. There have been many changes over the years, including opening to the public in 1965 and the addition of another nine holes in 1974. At just over 6,000 yards, it's a short course by modern standards but it's no pushover. The greens are known for being challenging and they are also some of the truest and smoothest putting surfaces you'll find in the area. Though length may not be required, accuracy and course management are essential. The hazards at Marshfield C.C. are mostly provided by the existing landscape, including the meandering creeks, mature trees, and rocky outcroppings, which are complemented by several strategically placed bunkers. Each hole offers a different test, beginning with a tough par 4. This dogleg left hole has a stream that cuts right through the center.

Good layout, mixed course conditions
The Good: Beautiful new bar and clubhouse. Greens were in excellent condition and very challenging. Good layout. Couse was not busy.
Bad: Some of the tee boxes are bare. That's what happens when tee boxes are surrounded by trees and get no sun.
Ugly: The fairways. Not only are they half-dead due to what appears fungus, there are deep, up to a foot, dips that run across most of the fairways on the back 9. It looks like the drainage system has sunk. Also, they were still mowing the greens at 1pm and there was no rain that morning or night before.
Golf Etiquette
We were a twosome playing behind a 5some. 5 players, 3 carts and slow going! They stopped at the next hole to let us play through but the group of 5 guys were very snotty about letting us go through! We thanked them for doing so but they just stared at us without comment! We were so taken back about such rude behavior and for the golf course allowing 5 players to golf??? Normal run golf courses generally do not allow 5somes because of this exact hold ups for other players. We will not be back!!
Beautiful course! We always enjoy playing here. It had some very challenging holes too!
The Golf Course that could be!
I see a hidden gem of a golf course! The course definitely needs attention and some TLC! The history of the old building foundations and rail road bridges along with the creeks that run through this property can make this a special golf course,... with the commitment of caring for the grasses, bunkers and a sustained commitment!!! What this place could be is what sticks out in my opinion.
Green were in excellent condition. Very fast and challenging
Have played here before and course is in very good condition. Had a great time. Lunch break between 9s in the club house was very good with very pleasant staff. Will play here again.
Golf carts
.... golf carts need updating. Most cushions are ripped. Some are just plain old and noisy.
