Marshfield Country Club
Opened in 1923, Marshfield Country Club was one of the first golf courses in the area. There have been many changes over the years, including opening to the public in 1965 and the addition of another nine holes in 1974. At just over 6,000 yards, it's a short course by modern standards but it's no pushover. The greens are known for being challenging and they are also some of the truest and smoothest putting surfaces you'll find in the area. Though length may not be required, accuracy and course management are essential. The hazards at Marshfield C.C. are mostly provided by the existing landscape, including the meandering creeks, mature trees, and rocky outcroppings, which are complemented by several strategically placed bunkers. Each hole offers a different test, beginning with a tough par 4. This dogleg left hole has a stream that cuts right through the center.

I have played here a few times. Recently brought with 2 guys who have never been there and both liked it. I really enjoy a few of the holes with water and different sloped greens.
Wonderful layout, but still needs work on conditions
I love the layout around the trees and meandering stream. Greens in great shape, but fairways are a mess. Give it a try.
Condition getting bad.
Have played Marshfield for years and course is in worst shape ever. Tee boxes are bare ground and very hard. Greens are in fair shape but fairways on some holes need major work. Sand traps need weeds removed and sand turn over. Only played because of low Golf Now rate. Also course does not seam to be sanitizing golf carts and holes not setup so players Don’t pull flags.
Nice layout and good greens, but...
The layout is beautiful...in and around trees and a meandering stream. Greens were in pretty good shape. Unfortunately, the fairways are still in rough shape in Aug 2020. Still hoping they can fix them. Then it would be a 5 star.
Fairways and tee boxes very dry. Hard to put tees in ground. Sand traps hard and not raked. Maybe water system problem.
Course needs work
Most of the greens and all of the fairways were in terrible shape. We played there a couple of times earlier in the season and the course was in great shape. The clubhouse was great and the food was good. Staff was spotty. We have a group scheduled to play there in a week and are now looking for an alternative. It’s unlikely we’ll go back this season.
Course fairways were rough. Tee Boxes were hard and hard to get a tee in. And pretty worn out.
Tee boxes need repair
Course has always been a good layout. Can be wet after a rain storm but was good the morning I played. Only comment would be that tee boxes are pretty beat up and dry. Also don’t think course is following state suggestions for non contact points for COVID pandemic. They have rakes in traps and pins constantly be removed by players.
Since new owners came in a few years ago they have made some great changes. New clubhouse, replaced bridges, improved cart paths and better care of the greens. Nice layout of course, hope they keep improvements going. Enjoyed my round .
Greens are in horrible condition :(
A decent round of golf
The course is in good condition. One green had some issues but the rest (17) were good. Nice clubhouse, surly staff. Need to get some signs up. 90+ degree day and no beverage cart. Much nicer course than nearby River Edge.
Odd day...lots of standing water and the fairway on #8 was not cut. Grass was the same height as rough. Greens were very slow too. I have played here a few weeks ago and the course condition was not as good. Value is good, but disappointed in the conditions today. Cart girl was very active and friendly.
very nice course:: would play it again:
worth the few miles to get to this course:: I would and will play it again::
Getting on the course was quick and easy. Rain has not been nice to this course but conditioning was good where it matters
Fair Round Of Golf
Nice new club house. No pro shop.
Nice carts with GPS but GPS don't work.
Course is very rough and needs mowing.
Greens were pretty good. Sand traps were
