Island at Silver Spring Country Club
About
There are two 18-hole courses at the Silver Spring Golf & Banquet Center, the Island Course and the Falls Course. Opened in 1986 as the West Course, the Island is the original layout at the facility. At nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees, it is considerably longer than the other course but both offer a fair amount of challenges. Mature trees line the fairways and several ponds provide water hazards on several holes. The Island Course's new name comes from its trademark feature that appears on the signature eighth hole. This hole is widely known for having the only naturally occurring island green in the state of Wisconsin. It is an impressive hole though there are plenty of dramatic elevation changes and strategically placed bunkers to contend with throughout the golf course.

The course was in very good condition. Very challenging asnd very long in yardage. Very reasonable for its price.
Good value
The course was in good shape and it was fun to play. Pace of play was a little slow but apart from that the value was good for the course.
Enjoyable round on a hot afternoon
Although it was a hot day my friend and I enjoyed our round on the Island course. Despite our scores, the pace of play for this twosome was great as well as the course conditions.
Island Course-Silver Spring
Island Course was in excellent condition. Challenging course; long par threes, reachable par fives, and appropriate par fours. Played from white tees. Nice layout.
Bad weather
Could not play as lighting and severe thunderstorms were in the area until noon cst
I’ll be back !!!
Great experience. Course in great shape. Great pace. Great value on Golf Now.
April golf
Greens were not in good shape but it was April 25th in Wisconsin. The weatherman was predicting a snow storm a few days after we played. It was a beautiful day and we were just happy to be playing. The course will get better and for the money we paid it was just fine. We will be back.
Nice Course
Enjoyed the day at SSCC but unfortunately played like crxx.
Fun on the island
Played the island course for the first time. We hit into fog-honestly- on the first 3 to 4 holes and we would lose sight of the ball in it on our drives but it was actually kind of cool to see. But it burned off and became a beautiful day that the course just played played perfectly in. The natural rolling hills to significant elevation changes made club selections tricky at times but the wide open style of the fairways forgave the occasional errant shot. Course was in really nice shape and was a lot of fun to play. My friend and I are casual players but there were a lot of shots that made you think and lay up to be smart -or be silly and try and carry - which proved to be costly more often than not. Take a cart as the tees can be a distance from greens and the elevation changes can suck your energy. The only downside was we had to leave the grounds for lunch after our round-but I guess that’s what we should expect for a Tuesday! Play the island, you’ll have fun!
