New Richmond Golf Club - Old Course
About
Located just 30 miles northeast of St. Paul, New Richmond Golf Club offers one of the area's most popular and most challenging layouts. There are two courses available at the club, the 18-hole Old Course and the reversible nine-hole, par-36 Links Course. The Old Course sprawls across 173 acres of gently rolling hills dappled with mature trees. The Willow River meanders through the layout, cutting through the fourth, fifth and seventh holes. The trio serves as New Richmond's own "Amen Corner," featuring a challenging mix of water and sand that will test the skills of even the best players. The par-4 fifth hole is in fact the no. 1 handicap hole with not only the river on the right but also a pond on the left. New Richmond Golf Club is also known for having the "Best Practice Facility in Western Wisconsin," which includes a 32-station driving range and expansive chipping and putting greens.

It's a great golf course
Fall golf in Minnesota and Wisconsin is fantastic, and New Richmond CC is one of my favorites. It's fair, but you have to pay attention on every hole, some more than others. Colors were fantastic, weather cool, but sun shining. Love it!
This course has great features. Mature course
the course was in really great shape Theres alot of challenging holes. 3rd time there this year seen deer every time.Great expeirence THANKS
Solid Golf Course
New Richmond is a medium length old style golf course where everything is right in front of you. No gimmicks. The greens are firm with some undulations, but they play fair. Nice flowerbeds and shrubbery add finishing touches to this wonderful course. And hey, Wisconsin proves again why it's fun to be in their clubhouses. Enjoy a beverage.
Old course style.
Challenging course to play. Some what slow playing, waiting on every hole. Alot of blind shots off of tee.
New favorite course
My husband and I golfed on a Monday and there were not a lot of people out there so pace of play was fine. The course is beautiful, well maintained, challenging at times, but not impossible. Nicely wooded, but not thick. It was about a 40 minute drive from the eastern suburbs. We plan to go back in October. We highly recommend this course to others.
Recently aerated
Good course recently aerated fast rate of play sand is hard fairways are soppy and soft
The course scenery was great.
Never golfed in Wisconsin before and i am glad we picked this course. The course was a challenge and saw some wildlife as well. I would go again. The staff was friendly the entire time we were there. We also met a great couple and had a good time golfing with them.
Unbeatable value and a great track
I usually don't like courses that have a lot of blind shots, however, New Richmond Golf Course is a great layout and one of the best tracks in the area! Conditions are unbeatable and golfnow.com offers a value you cannot ignore ($13 for 18 w/cart)!
Excellent Course
Always a great course. Exceptional practice facilities. One of Wisconsins top courses.
This course had very slow play!
Could not book tee time through website. Had to call in to Golfnow to do it as the course had already booked the stated tee time. When I got to the course my tee time had been moved up by 16 minutes as I was playing as a single. I was told they did this to pair me up with a twosome. They then booked my stated tee time.
The course was slow as it was a five hour round. No ranger to speak of. A beverage cart girl who was yelling at the foursome behind us as she knew them. What made it worse was the bad language they were using. They have way too many holes where carts must stay on the paths. No GPS on carts. Also no fill and smooth containers on carts so many unfixed divots on the course.
On one par 3, number 12, there was 3 groups waiting to tee off as a foursome was finishing.
This was not a enjoyable golf outing. I will never play here again!
Pace of Play...
I have golfed this course before and it has always been busy. But this saturday I went and it was extremely slow... Took over 2.5 hrs to golf 9. We decided to call it after 9 holes due to the slow play. We only payed $19 each with a hot deal tee time so it wasn't like we were out too much money. Great course though but the slow play can ruin it sometimes.
Very nice golf course....
I had a great time playing New Richmond golf course. The course is in beautiful shape, and I will be back again....
country club quality
It's been a few years since I last played New Richmond CC (& then only in tournament situations) but I must say I was really impressed with the everyday condition of the course. The turf tee-to-green was excellent, & the greens ran smooth & fast with a number of testy pin placements. It was well-worth a long, nostalgic trip for a recreational round. Highly recommended!
Smooth, fast greens
I enjoyed the course layout and I like fast greens but my wife, who was my playing partner for the day, found that the ladies don't get much of an advantage from the forward tees and she was intimidated by the speed of the greens.
Great course!
This is such a beautiful, well maintained course. The flowers are always spectacular! The fairways were the best I've golfed all season, so far. Lots of challenges too!
nice track
super nice greens great track ,maintained well.
no real control on course all of a sudden a five in the group in front when they started as only three.
This course is very challanging and very well maintaned.
The course is excellent shape, with many challenging holes. the par 3's are a nice distance.
Love this course!
We usually try to play New Richmond Golf Club a few times a year for sure! Greens were in excellent shape, course very well maintained and staff is awesome!!! A must play if in the area!!
Visually pleasing from every T box
First time at this course, we will return with friends. If I lived closer I it would likely be my most played course.
