Krooked Kreek Golf Course
About
Krooked Kreek Golf Club has a scenic location nestled between the bluffs of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and the glacial eskers of western Wisconsin. The aptly named course has a creek that zigzags haphazardly across the landscape. The golf course was opened as a nine-hole course in 1990 and the back nine was added five years later. The front nine sprawls across mostly flat terrain and the generous greens offer some rooms for error, but you'll have to be careful because the layout gets tougher on the back nine. The greens are much smaller on the back side and they are much more undulating, making accuracy and thoughtful course management the key to a good score. Wetlands come into play on 11 holes at Krooked Kreek Golf Club, and there are also strategically placed bunkers throughout.

hot and windy
WE enjoy traveling the 40 to 45 mins to play this course.
Also able to get a early tee time on weekends. We do play the course quite a few times in the season.
Hidden Gem
This course is very nice!! I play several courses in the NE part of the twin cities and this course is well maintained. Good greens, good fairways, good layout!! It’s a 30min drive for me but I would do it every time because it’s super nice and price is great!!
Good course, good value
Got a little slow on the back 9 when we got behind some music-blarring drunken hackers. But overall, a good course for the money.
Beautiful Course, even the horse fly loves it
This course is beautiful. A gem.. Difficult holes for even moderate to good players with some blind approaches that offer opportunities to 'go for it' and gain an advantage or play it safe. The only downside was the immense population of Horse fly's, wow, there were plenty of them.. The staff was outstanding, I lost my Gatorade on either hole one or two and had not even opened it, at the turn I went in hoping against hope someone turned it in, and the staff gave me a free one.. Will definitely return.. I played the blue tees as the course is a shorter one.
Rolling greens and terrific setup
Krooked Kreek is a beautiful layout only 45 to 50 minutes from St. Paul. The greens have lots of slope and different levels, the layout is unique and fun, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The pace of play on a Sunday morning amounted to 3:30 for all 18 holes. We had a great time and will likely return several times this season.
Fun Course.
The course was in great shape. It has some challenging holes. The pace was great, never had to wait at a tee box. The bugs weren't too bad.
Good course
I didn't know what to expect when we booked this round. The course seemed to be out in the middle of nowhere. But we were pleasantly surprised with the course having very helpful staff, a full Pro Shop and a good course layout.
Course conditions were good. Greens are tricky with a lot of subtle breaks. Like most courses in the area, the design has at least one bad hole. At Krooked, it's the question-mark shaped par 5 12th with no apparent place to lay-up, forcing you to go for the green in 2 over a swamp, I mean wetlands.
great course to play
Enjoy playing this course, would play more often if little closer to home. But still worth the drive.
Favorite Course
I frequently play this course as it is by far my favorite. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I can't say enough good things about the staff and course. Excellent experience every time I play!
Great course to play
always have a great time playing this course. course in great shape. worth the travel time to play it. would play it more often if closer to home. 45 min to an hour to get to it.
13
Love the tree cutting on 13 par 5. Gives you a chance to reach in 2 and great views!! My wife and I play out there 3-5 times a year.
Worth the travel
Just started playing this course this year. Fun course and worth the money and travel.
Worth the drive
Course is always in great shape. Staff are very friendly. Just started playing this course this year. Played a number of times this year. Only issue coming up is the bridge repair starting up this fall. Will add extra time to travel.
Krooked Kreek
Course is in great shape. Not a lot of level putts. At least that is what I am blaming poor putting on. The design on some of the holes is very interesting.
Will play again.
