NorthWood Golf Course
About
Northwood Golf Club provides a pleasant getaway that has the advantage of being less crowded than a metropolitan course and the convenience of being less than three hours north of Wisconsin's major cities. The peaceful feeling of seclusion is enhanced even further by the course's location just minutes from hundreds of lakes as well as the Pelican and Wisconsin Rivers. The golf course plays across rolling, wooded hills. Mature trees frame the holes and they helped to carve the shape of the challenging doglegs. Northwood is a course that will test your accuracy but it is also more forgiving than it seems. There are a few holes featuring water hazards including the par-3 11th, which has an island green. Wind is also a factor on many holes.

Great Course in Great Condition
The Staff was very friendly. The Carts were in very good condition and clean. The course is a little tight, which provides a challenge….course management is critical. Leave your Driver in your bag… The Tee Boxes were in great shape along with the fairways. The Greens rolled nicely and in good shape. I would recommend playing this course!
On a side note, we ate after our round and the food and service were very good. The Bang / Bang Shrimp were very good as well as the Bang / Bang Shrimp Salad and Hamburger and Fries.
Fun and Challenging Course
The Tee Boxes, Fairways, and Greens were all in great shape. The course is narrow which makes for a challenge. Course management is important….. You may want to leave your Driver in the bag on a few holes. We ate in the restaurant after golf. The food and service was very good! I would recommend both…
Golf and Fall colors
Course in great shape and greens were true. 3.5 hour round. Colors were beautiful and it was an overall wonderful experience. Especially for the all in price of $26 per person
Worth a visit
Very challenging course. No chance of playing a recovery shot out of the woods. Bring a good supply of balls if you're spraying it around.
Nice Course
In great shape, friendly cart girl, always look forward to playing Northwood!
Very good course
It is course that rewards accuracy rather than length. Greens and fairways in good shape. The only complaint for the course is the bunkers. The sand was packed and difficult to get a wedge appropriately under the ball. Under a 1/2” of top sand it was packed fairly hard. Otherwise a very nice course. Bring lots of balls, woods lining the fairways gobble them up.
