Riverdale Country Club
About
Riverdale Country Club is an 18-hole golf course located just minutes south of Sheboygan's city limits. The club was established in 1929, making it one of the state's older courses. The player-friendly layout has a traditional design that is on the shorter side, measuring to just over 5,900 yards from the back tees. The holes are fairly straightforward and there are no hidden hazards. The golf course does require a fair amount of accuracy though with mature trees lining the fairways. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers guarding most of the greens. It might not what you are looking for if you are searching for a formidable test, but it is great for a casual round. Riverdale Country Club is also gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Course is improving
There is new ownership this year at Riverdale, and the change is already noticeable. The greens are improved, fairways and rough cut correctly, giving the course a refreshed look and feel.
Overall it's a local course that has some unique holes, such as the very reachable par 4 4th and No. 9, which goes over a pond with a fountain in the middle.
I don't play this course as much as I did when I was younger and just starting out, but with the improvements that have been made, I'll be sure to play it a time or two each summer going forward.
Excellent
It was a great place to play and everyone was very friendly.
greens were in good shape
fairways needed mowing; greens were in good shape; was worth the $25 fee w/cart
well kept, good play for value, what happened to the mini-practice green on 16th tee?
enjoyable, and quick playing. Everything was great, but get the mowing done before 7 am.
Enjoyable round and the greens were in great shape
Enjoyed the round, the fairways and greens were in great shape. Traffic was light because of overcast and mid day so we moved right along with the pace of play
Course has nice layout. Rolling hills, nice views.
There was an outing on the front nine, so eveyone else was put on the back, and the pace was terrible. Over 15 minutes or more between shots. (OVERBOOKED)
That being said, the course is a bit rough around the edges.
The greens were rough, and lacking grass in spots.
Some greens had a severe back ot front slope, making putting down impossible. Some holes were a little dangerous. The rough was very tall. The lady and little girl in pro shop were very nice. Return not likley. Golfnow price was a good deal.
Your local everyday course
This is your typical local area course that just has local area golfers golf it. Its not worth driving out of your way to this course. But if you live in the area its a cheap course to get some swings in at.
