Bristol Ridge Golf Course
About
Just a short drive from the Twin Cities, Bristol Ridge Golf Course is a championship course that is conveniently located for a getaway that doesn't involve too much of a time investment. The rolling terrain provides a good amount of challenge while also being player friendly enough for beginners. The tree-lined fairways tumble across the natural contours of the land, which also helped determine the strategic placement of the bunkers. Despite being quite hilly, the golf course is pleasantly walkable. There are also water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The well conditioned greens provide smooth, fast putting surfaces. Each hole has a different character and most are anything but straightforward. Bristol Ridge Golf Course's 11th hole is short but memorable with an almost-island green, surrounded by water on three sides.

This course has the ability to be great. Awesome layout but needs some TLC!
Pace of play for a weekend round was not maintained or managed well at all. Other patrons need to learn proper golf etiquette and allow faster groups to play through.
Worth the drive, Worth the price, Nice challenge for all
This is the second time playing Bristol Ridge. It is an above average public course with a very nice layout for Better and Average players. Reasonable elevation changes and hazards make you think about your options. Excellent cart paths for an out-of-the-way course. Private setting, nice putting green, mediocre driving range and limited pro shop. We played in terrible weather, but saw the potential for later in the year. Course as of May 9, 2014 has some fairway damage from the winter, although greens were in good condition.
Mix of tree-lined fairways and open holes, with a little water.
Greens were punched about a week ago, but healing well - very playable! Was a cool day, so the course was fairly open and our round went quickly (2-some in a cart).
A handful of holes require some good shot making to avoid the trouble, but most are fairly wide open and welcoming.
Moderate amount of yardage markings on sprinkler heads in addition to the 200-150-100 yard markers.
Good golf with the discount
This course was nice and had some difficult holes. Overall it was just okay for us. We drove about 50 minutes from the eastern suburbs and feel we have nicer courses closer to us on the east side. We received a great deal through GolfNow, and that was a good way to try out a new course without spending too much money and not knowing what to expect. It is not on the top of our list of courses to return to.
Great value
We all enjoyed the challenge of Bristol Ridge and even though we have had little rain for the past month, the course was in great shape. Great value.
poorly run and over crowded
twice in one week, our group encountered unpleasant staff in the clubhouse, and were put in the middle of tournaments. both rounds took nearly 6 hours to complete. our first day, we were told that "they were going to call us to warn about the tournament, but never got around to it". the track is one of my favorites, and the fairways are well maintained, but the rough is dead and cement-like. unfortunately, due to poorly run operations, over crowding and rude personnel, i will not play this course again.
Very hilly. Expect uneven lies. Large undulating greens in perfect shape.
Fun golf course. No forced carries. 11 is a neat hole. Course could use much needed rain, but well maintained despite the lack of rain. Greens are fast and in great shape. It was a fun day.
Great day at Bristol Ridge
Loved Bristol Ridge. Conditions were great, course was challenging and we had perfect weather. Stopped for a beer after in the clubhouse, which is also very nice and were surprised to get a discount on the first beer. 2 bucks for a tap!!
People will like Bristol Ridge.
The rate of play was slow; lots of people out; beautiful day. Decent value for the money.
great golf course, challenging
for the money and for playing it , it is worth the drive and playing it. My golfing partners love the course and that hoped to be back playing it in the future.
This course is challenging and well maintained. There are some easier holes and some that will challenge any level player.
This course is fun. The layout is great however it can be a little danerous for errant shots. We had a few balls land close to us when we were on the tee box. Overall, this is a very nice course for the average to above average golfer.
great course, easy to get to, got right on, great price!
everything was just great but the burger we ordered after nine holes was a frozen thing and didnt look very appealing and they had no mustard? how do you run out, anyway the drinks after were good, and clean and well mowed
Enjoyed the course
Fun course to play slow on the weekends late in the afternoon like most courses great views
Played fast
For the price we paid, this may have been the best deal ever! The course was in great shape and played very fast.
Nice course, unwelcoming employee though.
Bristol Ridge Golf Course was well-maintained and challenging. Pace of play was good. However, the Staff employee at the check-in desk was unwelcoming. It would have been nice to hear "Welcome to our golf course. We're glad you chose to golf with us today."
Fun course with a great layout.
This course has good character as the holes have a nice layout...with the exception of number 5. Number 5 is a par 5 and it is by far the worst hole I have ever played...you will see why when you get to it. To start off, the fairway is relatively tight on your drive as you have to keep your shot on the left side of the fairway to have any decent look on your second shot. Your second shot is not fun either as everything slopes severely to the left (towards the rough and the trees/hazard) and more than likely you will not be able to see the pin and this hole has a good right dogleg. I have played this course about 6 times and the best position I have been in after my drive was in the trees on the left side (almost in the hazard) and I luckily had a shot and could see the pin. For the third shot, you will more than likely be hitting to a blind/uphill green. If you know what you are doing, this is not a really hard hole but it is still by far the worst hole I have every played/seen and I have played a lot of courses. I have not found one person that disagrees with this. Other than the fifth hole, the course is very fun to play. Typically you can play in 3.5-4 hours but this time it took 4.75 hours.
Try Bristal Ridge!!!
Bristol Ridge is a relatively easy drive from the Twin Cities and well worth the trip! Fun layout, usually in good condition with a cordial staff. Good value for the money when booked on GolfNow.
The course was in great shape!
The course was in great shape! It is amazing especially with the extended unusual cool weather we've been having in the midwest! The high was in the low 60's on June 2!!
