Great courses to play. Good value. We need to teach the golfers to fix ball marks.
As always Butlers is worth the money.
The course was in great shape even after sever rain the night before. There was a lot of traps filled with water but other that killed.
Lakeside has incredible back nine
The back 9 is possibly one of the most scenic in Western, PA. The layout is reminiscent of a resort course, with big elevation changes and some blind shots without feeling tricked up.
Pace of play typically stinks here though as they back tee times up and allow groups to jump in between those coming off the front nine.
Wow
So this is the first time playing the new lakeside nine holes. Loved the new 9. I am super impressed. The pastor is amazing. Only drawback was the greens rolled will, but we're a little slow and there were so many unfixed ball marks. Other than that, the new back nice has great challenges, beautiful sights and a creative layout. Would definitely go back and play there again soon.

Great public course.
Butler's lakeside course offers a fun but challenging 18, great amenities, and friendly staff. The par 3s are very exciting and the view on 16 is one of a kind. The final 4 holes will make me keep coming back. The public aspect leaves for free range cart operators cause damage on portions of the course. All in all, it was a great experience and I will be returning.

Me & The Misses
I like this course but today very poor conditions. All the rough was 8” long. If you hit off the fairway one foot ball was unfindable. I don’t always find the fairway, lost 4 balls in 9 holes. Hoping for better conditions next time

Rick, thank you for the review. We certainly understand your comments about the rough. We're currently in the middle of the 2-week stretch in the year when grass grows at an alarming rate. In addition, the rain all this week can make it difficult to get the rough mowers out there. We assure you we're working hard to keep up through this period. Once we hit June growth will slow down considerably and rough height will be more consistent moving forward.
Decent course
Was extremely busy the day I played. 5 hours to finish 18. Greens were just aerated so were very poor. Cup edges were 1/4 inch higher than the greens? Need to be better maintained. Tee time was wrong but not the courses fault.

Rough course
Price was so low that I had to try it. Course was a mud pit and we are at a 2 inch deficit for rain around here. Too much watering or poor drainage? Grass was really unkempt. Lots of fairway damage,maybe due to water. Guy driving fertilizer vehicle sprayed tee box as we were getting ready to tee off. Rude! Lady at snack shack was great. Probably won't do this course again.
Good value for average course
Played during Steeler game, fast play that I like. Greens in very nice shape, fairways nice. Cart paths in bad shape, uneven and very bumpy. I do like the course and location. Nice restaurant and bar (wraps were large and tasty).
Early golfer
Went out before a tournament teed off early was great. Very fast play at 7:00 am. Bunkers have gotten better. Great round good times.

Lakeside course was in good shape. greens needed cut and we're slow
Butlers always in good shape
We played on a Friday so it's going to play a little slow. Course was in good shape and the staff is always friendly. For $33 it was a good value, I shot 85 so it was a good day.
