Links at Gettysburg
About
The Links at Gettysburg sprawls across rolling hills situated near the hallowed grounds where the defining battle of the Civil War took place. The golf course wages a formidable challenge itself, featuring 35 steep rock cliffs where the stone-lined tee boxes are perched and 10 lakes and waterfalls that come into play throughout. Red rock cart paths give a contrast to the lush greens and sparkling blue waters. The dramatic elevations allow golfers to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside but the scenery can be almost too distracting since the demanding layout requires all of your attention. Be prepared for a bevy of strategically placed bunkers as well as mature trees. With the challenging layout and unrivaled views, it is no surprise that the Links at Gettysburg is ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in Pennsylvania.

The guy still works at the course after an overt racism situation. They support his actions or he would be FIRED!!!! Photo submitted by u9215442 on 06/24/2020

Don’t play when it’s path only
Played as a single on a Thursday afternoon. Only about 10 groups out. Unfortunately 5 of them were in front of me. A 3some , a one, a three some and myself and it took 2.5 hours for 9 holes. I paid for 18 but left after 9. There were three groups on number 10 so it was shaping up to be a 5 + hour round mid week, mid day. I just can’t
Great value and a lot of fun
First time playing the course. Challenge on most shots with challenging greens. Bring your game. Course in good shape but bunkers in poor condition— no sand in most. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Totally gave up on bunkers
Tee to green grass was cut and taken care of. Bunkers however haven’t been touched for the year. All but a handful were full of water. Some with tadpoles swimming and pond weeds growing so don’t let them fool you with the recent rain excuse. The 1 yes 1 that I saw without water, had veins running all over through it. If you’re going to have 40+(Just an educated guess) bunkers, they are an intricate part of the course and can’t just be forgotten about and still pay top dollar to play.
Awesome Course
I will absolutely be returning For the Golf, the food and the beer.... All you need now is an Air BNB in the community for me to stay in and play several rounds over the weekend. That would be amazing.
This is definitely a gem.
Excellent course
Very nice course and extremely friendly staff. We had a great time
Beautiful course
This course has one of the most interesting layouts that I’ve ever seen. The course is challenging and is definitely a ball eater. It is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly and the food at the clubhouse is great. I’ve played nicer courses but not many and for the price you can’t go wrong.
A fun challenge
Always a nice course to play, the Links at Gettysburg, is a moderately difficult layout that has hazard on many holes but plays fair if you can hit it straight.
Not a lot of room to miss
The Links at Gettysburg is a fun, but very tight golf course. Normally golf courses give you one side to miss on a certain hole, but not here.
The course is pretty with some good mountain views and a lot of elevation change. It was also in good shape. I really enjoyed some of the rock outcroppings along a few of the fairways and behind some of the greens. They also have a cool water tower with the course logo that you can see from pretty much every hole on the course.
Given the challenge of the course (Our 4some lost over 30 balls for the day) and the fact it was perfect weather on a Saturday morning, it took us 5 hours to play.
Some of my favorite holes are number 7, a long double dogleg par 5 with water up both sides.. 8 is a drivable par 4 with a giant rock outcropping all along the right side of the hole. And 12 is an awesome par 3 over water with the clubhouse, waterfall and water tower all in the background. 18 is also great and finishes right next to 12 green.
Overall, the course was fun, but you better hit it straight if you want to score well.
Almost a 5 Star...
Back to Links of Gettysburg for the second time this year. (It's almost 1.5 hrs drive for me.) I love the layout of this course, and it's very scenic. The landscaping on the course is very nice as well...plenty of fresh, colorful flowers and plants. The course was in good shape except for: 1) the tee boxes were pretty chewed up, 2) the bunkers didn't have much sand, and 3) there were HUGE divots in the fairways. Players need to leave the course in better shape than what they found it! There's cannisters of divot mix on the cart--players, please use it! I was in two huge, deep divots and was penalized for being in the fairway because of another player's carelessness. Overall, the course was in nice shape, with the greens running pretty quick, the rough thick but cut--and playable--and the fairways cut tight. It was also a beautiful day with low humidity and temperature, and lots of sunshine. Nice pace of play as well! This is a great course with lots of risk/reward holes...and trouble abounds if you can't hit the fairway.
