Dirt and overgrown Clovers...yay! Photo submitted by PrettyPrettyGood on 06/13/2016
Super friendly staff, fun layout, highly recommend! Outside of 3 fairways, the course is truly in great shape, and the value is one of the best around Nashville! Can’t wait to come back and try it again!
Nice greens. That’s it
Courses tee boxes are literally just hitting off of the grass next to designated tee box on the front. Pace of play was absolute trash and Marshall is actually the starter and nothing more. Course is full of rude and aggressive people thinking they’re playing at a private course.
Beautiful, Course
Beautiful Course fairways were very tight, people ending up on your fairway and ending up on their fairway. The course is a little bit confusing lots of hills, been wanting to play this course for some time.
The pace of play was very slow. I would probably say this is probably my one-and-done on this course. if you are in the area, give it a try.
Not disappointed
Played this course (front 9) for the first time today. Pace was steady with 2 in front of me and a bigger group behind me. Course conditions were average with a few bare spots here and there. But several areas had been seeded and grass is growing. If you like the up and down game, this course is for you. All kinds of elevations. No sand traps, but 2 water hazards on front 9. Excited to play this course again to see the back 9. Gentleman at the desk was very helpful and golfers on the course were kind and helpful as well.
Deplorable Conditions
The condition of this course is deplorable. All the tee boxes are either “temporary” or trashed with growing grass in short supply. Most of the fairways have large areas of death with some limited patches of grass that is alive. Only the fairway for your 3rd shot on the 18th hole had grass that was reminiscent of a decent muni fairway. It is lift, clean, and place all day long just to have a remotely fair (forget decent) lie to play from. The greens are fairly lush ( no big areas of death) but cut way too long and are therefore way too slow. A hockey slapstick shot is required for long or uphill putts. Where is the fun or challenge in that? The course is in need of so much TLC I didn’t think the $34 (including taxes and fees) was a “Hot Deal” at all. Maybe $20 - $25 would be worth it because there was nobody there on the Monday I played but only if there were no better alternatives in the Nashville area to be had. Conditions should be better to make the drive from Nashville worth it. BTW, I actually posted one of better scores in quite awhile but still barely enjoyed the day because the course was in such bad shape. I don’t expect country club conditions for $34 but this place barely qualifies for goat ranch status.
Very weird layout a lot of back and forth over holes
Rough conditions
You’re almost better playing out of the rough as the fairways are concrete. It’s definitely early in the season but the conditions were pretty tough. Greens definitely need some rolling. Outside of that.. the course is super interesting in terms of you could shoot 70-100 on any given day. Course layout is semi all over the place which I think makes the pace slow.
Course has a lot of potential, but is in terrible shape.
A lot of maintenance going on and tee times are packed in together so there are constantly groups being on top of each other. There was not a single sand bunker on the entire course and it is a very hilly course, so if you do not hit the green you are in big trouble. The greens were in decent shape.
Good course. Great value.
Just north of the city and a great value for the money. Staff are super friendly. Pace of play was rough at times but to be expected n a weekend.
