Good course but slow pace
Nice course but slow on the pace of play. Every wed is the busiest day of the week! Don't go then. Staff stuck up, but I was there to golf. Nice layout, great greens and fairways
I used to love this course
The meadows used to be one of my favorite courses, the past 4 times I have went I have been stuck behind people that could barely walk let alone swing a club and asking them to let you pass is like pulling teeth, they get very mean and nasty!! I now would rather play the oaks but since that is soon going to be under construction I think I'll just play at other courses.
rare to play on some GREEN..
This is the nicest course ,that we ( 3 adults and 2 grandsons..played 3 and 2 the whole round)played.
some holes together, without a compliant, from anyone. We, enjoyed this course very much..
KIds, are still talking about playing it again, next year!!!
Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club - Meadows Course
12:35 tee time w/ wife for $21.20/ea thru Golfnow. Typical Florida course in subdivision setting. Short course, only 5900 yards from tips. Purchase snacks & drinks @ clubhouse before teeing off on #1 because does not return to clubhouse after 9 but there are real bathrooms on course. Only 2 holes w/ water in play, #9 & #18, both Par 3's. Couple of holes w/ tight tee shot landing areas. Tee boxes in decent shape, fairways thin, roughs cut low and sparse in areas. Medium sized elevated greens rolling true & medium fast paced. Battery powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back. Fun & fair track. Will play again.
The course has a little bit of everything
We really enjoyed the course, it was in good "winter condition", although the greens could use some work. But still challenging and enjoyable. We look forward to playing it again.
So-so course, terrible greens
The Oaks course at Citrus Hills has a few interesting holes, but a lot of blah parallel back-and-forth The main problem, however, is the greens, which were really awful. Thin to the point of being bare and bumpy. Barely playable. Won't be back til I hear they've improved.
Spotty Greens
We enjoyed playing this course except for the condition of the greens. They were very spotty with some grass and mostly no grass which made putts bumpy and irregular and really made a "good" round tough to complete since the putts were very difficult to read. If the greens were in better condition this would be a much better course.
nice course
Enjoyed playing the course. Good layout. Fairways were plenty wide. Greens were a little slow, but after you got used to them, they were OK.
Just So-So
There are few "hard" holes on this course, and the layout is pretty good. There are several tight fairways. But, there are several negatives that stand out. First the greens are terrible, with only 2 -3 in good shape - bald spots outnumber grassy spots, some are cut some aren't. Most fairways are in poor shape as well. Small things bugged me like NO rakes in any sand trap, no sand on the carts to fill in divots, only 2 ball washing stations on the course on #9 & #18, no starter, and no ranger to monitor pace of play. Other than that is was just OK.
Nice course
But not spectacular -Most holes just straight on
Trees & Sand
Enjoyed the course layout. Par 3"s are not easy. Oak trees and sand traps provided enough danger to make for challenging play. Will return.
Meadows at Citrus Hill
Nice course , Fairly wide open with the odd oak trying to attract your ball. Greens were consistent and in good shape. Weird layout at the pro shop for the carts, but that really isn't a deterrent.
A Pleasant Challenge
Our foursome enjoyed the course conditions and the challenge. We did find the fairways a bit narrow for our drives. We'll play here again.
Great Coursr
Great course. Recommend it. The greens are in excellent condition. The par threes are a very good challenge. Looking forward to playing there again.
Short and sweet
No driving range here, so you better "warm up" at home first! There is a small putting green and an area to chip from at the first tee, but the greens on the course were much faster than the practice green. Greens were very good as were the fairways, collars and aprons. Sand traps were in need of decent sand. Course was VERY crowded, and we waited at each tee and each shot. Took 4 1/2 hrs., and that was even after the 4some ahead quit after 9 holes. However, it was a good thing as the group ahead of us was our Sherpa guide, getting us to some of the holes. The "scorecards" were copied on paper, and there was no map of the course or diagram of the hole. They did have granite markers of each hole, though, so that helped. Tight course with alot of hills and elevation changes and plenty of hazards. Only a par 70 (for men) which was disappointing for my husband, he said 6 par 3 holes is too many. Par 71 for ladies as one of the par 3's was set back for ladies tee to 254 yards, making it a par 4. Hit a few trees and chunked up my ball, but, the squirrels were good to me and kicked me back out into the fairway! Eagled the par 5 13th, so that made my day!
Excellent Course:Great Tiki Bar!
This course was in excellent shape. It is relatively open, but has a number of challenging up hill fairways. The 18th hole par 3 is fun! Afterwards we ate at the Tiki Bar. Wonderful food, inexpensive, and nice atmosphere. We'd play here again!
Great course on the Nature Coast
The pace of play was fast, most likely due to a football sunday. The course was in great condition. Greens were overly fast, wich suited my game. I would play this course again without reservation.
Not good
Played this course 2 weeks ago & found it not to be in the best condition…even worse this week…even at 20 bucks on golf now not worth it
This course is in great condition
After playing quite a few courses in central Fl. It is great to see to greens not in transition.
My wife and I had played the Oaks before, but not the Meadows. It was a very relaxing round. Few other golfers for a Saturday morning so pace was great.
The overall condition of the course was excellent and the Golf now price made this a good deal.
Too easy if you don't play from the back tee's.
Very helpful thanks.
