So much better than last year!

Last year I said I would never play this course again. A friend said it has improved a lot and I should give it another try. She was right! There have been significant improvements in course maintenance which was the real issue in my mind. I really like the course design and challenge of the holes so I’m glad they are working on the course itself. It has a ways to go but they are making strides.

Stonecrest challenges all skill sets.

From our introduction to the CEO and partner, Linden Wilcock, until our departure after 27 holes of wonderful golf, I and my 2 playing companions enjoyed the professional and courteous reception we received. The course is being upgraded with overseeded greens and tee boxes for the winter season The course layout demands strategic tee shots, accurate iron play, and an acute understanding of reading Florida greens (i.e. direction of the grain) because of the their well-designed contours. It was quite windy the particular day we played which demanded correct club selection often because of the well-placed bunkers and forced carry over water. We thoroughly 👏 recommend trying the "Stonecrest" experience.

Stonecrest is worth visiting

We enjoyed the course as it had plenty of sand, water, excellent greens, and no "repeat" holes. We met CEO Linden Wilcox and enjoyed his company, and hope the course is very successful. We very definitely will play here many more times. My wife loved the clothes in the pro shop BTW...

Nice layout

Fun course, challenging with nice elevation changes on the front nine. But greens were just punched and top dressed on the back nine, but wasn't made aware by the staff. It was only when we made the turned we discovered this. Not an issue but it would have been a nice to know.

Stonecrest Golf

We are visiting Florida from the Midwest. One of the best courses we have played, it will be on our list to play anytime we are back.

Not a bad course, just a bit rough

They are working to improve the course by expanding the perimeter of the greens. Rough around the edges, tight blues in fairway and around greens. Sand traps need work. Greens were pretty good. Rolled true.

Nice layout, great value

Plenty of elevation changes and well-designed holes that will hold your interest. Traps, tees and greens in good condition for this time of year. Played here a couple of weeks ago, and the fairways were in much better condition. Either the overseeding did not hold up or some sort of fungus or disease is killing the fairway grass. But just roll it over and enjoy the course. Better than shoveling snow!

Good layout and value, fairway grass not very good

This was my first time playing Stonecrest. It was a good value for the money for January at $40 including cart. The layout was good. Pace of the play was fine. The greens were in pretty good shape and pretty quick. The fairways were a bit bare especially on the back 9. That's my biggest complaint with the condition of the course. What grass there is on the fairways was really short. I would like to play again in the spring or summer but at $40 it was a good value for January.

Good value for 25 dollars

The tee boxes and fairways are in need of work. The fairways are crabgrass and hard pan with some grass shhots mixed in. The greens for the most part were in decent shape. A good 25 dollar course, no more.

Worth your time

Course is in good shape compared to others in the region. Much better shape than when I played here 2 years ago. Greens are firm, FAST and true. Layout is challenging. Third time my group has been here since November and we will be back again. Staff treat you very well. Par 3 water holes a real treat to look at.
