Bloomingdale Golfers Club
About
Bloomingdale Golfers Club sits on 220 acres of natural terrain with 100-year-old oaks, natural marsh preserves teeming with wildlife, fields of flowers, and thirteen lakes. Here you'll find a true Golfers Club -- no pools, no tennis courts, just Florida Golf at its finest. Tree lined fairways, pampas grass, massive waste areas, deep grass bunkers and contoured greens tempt golfers to play a round. Golf Digest described Bloomingdale Golfers Club as having the best collection of par 5's on one golf course as they have seen. Bloomingdale, which has been ranked #9 in Florida by Golfweek Magazine, is dedicated to preserving the natural appeal of the land. Course residents include a bald eagle, several sandhill cranes, sixty species of semi-rare birds, and the ever-present raccoon...the course trademark.

Great Value in a golf course
Great day on this golf course. Very challenging Par 5s. Course was in great shape, an extremely good dollar value here.
Better off going somewhere else
I’m not prone to leaving negative reviews online, but anyone debating playing here needs to be warned. I’ve been a regular at Bloomingdale for a couple of years now and it used to be a great place to play. Unfortunately, since the new management has taken over they have run the place into the ground. These are just the experiences from my round today, but they are pretty indicative of how it is there almost every weekend day.
We had a 2:15 tee time and there were not carts available until 2:10. We load up and head to the first tee and there are multiple groups in front of us that still haven’t teed off yet (the course books seven minute tee times, which is bad enough for pace of play, but they also squeeze walk ins in between). We finally tee off about 20 minutes late and the pace does not get any better from there. We were planning to play 18, but gave up after taking 2 hours and 50 minutes to play 9 holes.
Unfortunately, those are all things you experience with every weekend round at Bloomingdale. What was new today was they turned the sprinklers on while people were playing on the holes. Initially assuming it was a mistake, we asked the beverage cart attendant to call into the office to let them know. A moment later, the sprinklers came on more holes were people were playing. It was at this point we decided to end our round. When we made our concerns known to the manager in the clubhouse, he said that it was hot out and the grass needs watered, even if that means watering while people are on the hole.
Decent Conditions... Laughable Course Management
Fairways and greens are decent. Better than in years' past. Some bare spots around oak trees that should have probably been removed a long time ago. Rough is mostly sparse hard-pan. No real complaints about conditions.
But the course has 7-minute intervals on tee times, which is comically bad and resembles a "Club Pro Guy" joke. We had a 9am (email confirmed) start... which was magically moved to 9:07am to accommodate a random solo golfer... and we still teed off 20 minutes after the 9:07am adjusted time.
On the back nine, a random twosome attempted to cut in front of our group on the 10th tee. They informed us "the pro shop told them to go off the back." We didn't allow them to do so, but his raises a couple of scenarios:
1) The pro shop did approve this, despite knowing the entire course was packed and there were two groups on every tee-box
or
2) Management didn't know some random group was sneaking out on the back nine.
Either way... not acceptable for a course in "decent" shape which charges $70+.
Our round ultimately took 5 hours and 5 minutes to finish. Zero excuse for this. They can literally charge $10 more, and extend tee times to 10 minute intervals. The place would still be packed. But at least it wouldn't be a slap in the face to golfers on the weekends.
Do not travel any distance to play here Saturday or Sunday mornings, unless you're OK with 5+ hour rounds... while starting 20-30 minutes late.
Never waited
Got off early & never waited on a shot. Played in about 2 1/2 hours. Greens are good
Solid round
Course layout is varied and will definitely play differently from different tees. We played Green tees which was fine for a beginner and an intermediate golfer. Tee boxes and greens were in good condition. Fairways had some bare spots. Sand traps were well maintained. Slow play on front nine but loosened up on back so not too bad but a little concerning. Overall would play again and recommend.
Good Course for $, 6 Hour Round
The course itself is nice for the money per round and has one of the better grass driving ranges. That said, do not play on the weekends. 6+ hour rounds. No real marshal to keep order and send people off. Was the 10:20 tee time and didn’t even get to start until 11:00 and then it was 6 hours on top of that.

Excellent
Conditions far exceed other courses in area. Great GPS electric carts. Played 9 holes before we saw other players. Off course in less that 3.5 hrs Recommended!
Poor Customer Service
I’ve had a terrible experience dealing with and trying to get ahold of anyone who could help me find a solution to my problem. I was just a can being kicked down the road to the next person as it wasn’t their problem to deal with.
Ok, but getting better
Course in better shape than the last time I played. I believe keeping golf carts off selected areas has helped tremendously. Greens were getting much better. Pace of play was too slow- 4 & 3/4 hours
Bloomingdale "The Old Homestead"
Had not played Bloomingdale in quite sometime. Was in very good condition as I remember it 20 plus years ago when it was a Dog Patch. Right at around four hour round of golf and the nice thing it is 15 minute drive from my house with no highways to negotiate.
Excellent course condition
This course is in excellent condition. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in excellent shape considering the lack of rain and the poor condition of other courses in the area. Price is still high season. I play here often.
Gps
They have gps systems hooked up to the carts which turned out to be a pain. They will stop your vehicle if you go onto greens that are restricted which is fine but many times it stopped the vehicle while on the cart path. You had to keep putting the cart into reverse and then circle onto the grass around the cart path to make sure your cart did not start beebing and stop again. Not user friendly

Nice course but slow day
Beautiful day for golf! The course is in nice shape. The only negative is the pace of the game was very slow. 18 holes took almost 5 hours. The golf cart computer kept telling us to speed up play because we were running behind schedule. We would have loved to speed up but we could not move any faster than the dozen groups of foursomes we were following.
