Lake Forest Golf Club

Traveling as much as I do I like to experience as many courses as possible. This course was average at best . I thought the course had a decent layout with only 1 par three that caught your eye and made you want to take a picture.. They were very busy the day I played so the pace of play was slow also the people they paired me up with were 20 or so handicaps.( very long round 5.5 hrs) the pro shop looked like they might be on their last ditch effort to remain open, no inventory and what they had looked like you might see at a swap meet.. I went in after my round to get a box of balls, to try and support their course but the pro shop staff was outside puffing on a cigarette like a train so I left without the balls..their drinks were way overpriced but I bought some anyway..

In conclusion, if there’s no tee times at the rtj course or another course it would be a good third choice.

The tees nèd leveliing or filling holes. The Greens were the worst I have ever seen or played on. They need a lot of work.

The layout is very challenging; uphill, downhill, doglegs… the greens are always bad sometimes very bad.

Greens in better shape than i expected for this time of year.

J'ai vu des verts en meilleure condition. Il n'y a pas de gazon, la surface est dure et bosselée. Les fairways sont beaux et le layout intéressant. Il vaut mieux attendre un mois pour laisser une chance aux verts d'être en meilleure condition.

We missed out tee time, and I'm so glad we did. Walked up to the clubhouse, falling apart - seriously worried to walk inside. Did not even ask for a refund, wasn't worth it.

The course layout was good but it really needs water. Felt like I was playing on mostly packed sand, no grass to be seen anywhere. Did really poorly on the greens.

The course was terrible, the greens were slow and in poor condition. The hole placements were set up for professional players not amateurs. One of the men in the clubhouse was rude and disparaging comments about Golf Now and that they didn't make any amount of money from my round. I will not go there again. I have nothing but good things to say about Golf Now and will continue to.

We had tee time for 12:44 and we were not able to golf until 2 pm because of outing held there in the morning. Nobody notified us, it was horrible since we were the last ones coming off the course at 5:50 and could barely see our balls.

The greens were in terrible shape and the cart paths need work.

Driving range was irons only!! Hitting box was so far back you couldn’t see any of the flags. Greens were really chunky.

The pace of play was awful. I’m not normally in a rush, but waiting about 15 minutes on every hole is ridiculous. When two or more groups are backed up at a hole that should be a red flag. At 3 hours I only played 11 holes. I gave up at that point and just called it. Every hole I passed had groups backed up.

Staff isnt the friendliest, but you cant beat the price to play in the area.
