The Madison Club
About
The Madison Club is a local favorite that is known for its top conditions and challenging layout. It is one of the premier public golf courses in Pittsburgh. You won't find two holes that are alike on this diverse course. It can be especially tough your first time playing since there are several blind shots. The golf course tumbles across rolling, wooded hills, which makes it a hard course to walk but a beautiful one to look at. Golfers will have to contend with mature trees, rough, and a variety of elevation changes. The elevated tees offer some scenic respite from the golf course's many challenges. One of The Madison Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th, which begins with a forced carry over water. It is considered one of the best public holes in western Pennsylvania.

Reviews
Great value
Course was in very good condition for being early and weather being so poor this past winter. Course held up even after a hard rain the night before. Green were slow but fair and course was not cart path only, which was surprising. Staff was very nice and paired me up with a double. Enjoy the round but type of course you need to play a few times to score. Well worth the ride.
Great course
The course was in excellent condition. The greens were well maintained.
Nice mix of hole designs
The windy conditions made the course play a good deal tougher.
Great course to play in mid-October.
The greens were in great condition. The scenery in the fall is spectacular. This was our first time playing Madison and we plan are returning.
Great Shape as always
Every time I play at Madison the course is in great shape. My last outing was no exception. It's one of my favorite golf cources to play.
One of the best in south pittsburgh area
This course is always in great condition. Course is a great layout, a couple quirky holes, but generally a great layout. Staff is always nice.
what a great track!
Very interesting golf course with a lot of different shots that you have to make.you can't just pull out the driver every hole. iron play is essential on your second shot. the only thing I could say negative about it, was the pace of play. there was an outing in front of us that was horrible. there was a twosome in front of us(us being a threesome) and a foursome behind us. there were a few holes where we were waiting on the next T box for the twosome to tee off, and the foursome came up behind us.Yes, there were three groups of golfers on one tee box. So bad course management. all in all it was a great round of golf though.I will definitely go back the next time I'm passing through the Pittsburgh area!
Very nice
Everything on this course was great. The only thing that I have issues with is #8 tee box. teeing off on a carpet was amazing for such a nice course. Reminded me of a cheap driving range.
This course is a must play in Western PA
Really enjoyed the course layout and the precise iron play you must have to score at this course. The course has some longer holes where you can let the driver fly as well as some Par 4's you must hit a landing area using an iron to get in position for your approach shot.
Still a great course, reasonably priced,
We are weekday players who travel to various W. PA courses 2-3 times per week. The Madison Club is still a great course for the money. Only downside from this outing was the traps were marginal but we have had a lot of rain so not their fault. Greens fast and true, tee boxes and fairways in good shape. Very few golfers on the day we played made for a 3 1/2 hr round.
nice course, slow play
the course was in great shape and a very challenging course. however, the pace of play was ridiculously slow and put a damper on the whole day. it was so bad on the back nine that we left after the #15. shame, the course was very nice. for some reason they let a foursome off the back right in front of us and it killed the day.
Good Course Unfriendly Staff
There was a ranger who was very unprofessional in how he addressed my party. He was very rude in how he told us a "course rule." One of out carts was half on the cart path and half in the rough to give room to anyone who would drive by and were yelled at from a distance while on the green. He could have asked nicely and we would have though nothing of it but he chose to be confrontational with an unfriendly tone.
spanky
The course is beautifully maintained and very challenging with multiple tee boxes for all classes, the only problem is pace of play. If you have nothing to do the day your playing enjoy a very nice golf course.
Madison club
Played on Sunday afternoon under threatening sky's. Although we could not finish last 2 holes due to thunder storm, we enjoyed the course and the pace of play was good. Course conditions were very good despite lots of rain the day before.
Great rough around greens
Played this course many times, it has among the best 'around the green' conditions of any public course in the Pittsburgh area. Course is getting a little burnt out a little too fast compared to others in the area. There are burnt spots all over the fairways. Didn't see any rangers out on the course which was very surprising, could definitely have used them.
Very mature
Course was in excellent condition a pleasure to play
Great Day for Golf
Nice golf course. first time playing it, will try to get there again
Great time.
Great course , great staff, great time. I would definitely play this course again.
Sand
A decent course but they need to put sand in the traps and cut trees to give sun to #8 tee.
Madison club
Had a great experience. Good helpful staff and great course.
