The Madison Club
About
The Madison Club is a local favorite that is known for its top conditions and challenging layout. It is one of the premier public golf courses in Pittsburgh. You won't find two holes that are alike on this diverse course. It can be especially tough your first time playing since there are several blind shots. The golf course tumbles across rolling, wooded hills, which makes it a hard course to walk but a beautiful one to look at. Golfers will have to contend with mature trees, rough, and a variety of elevation changes. The elevated tees offer some scenic respite from the golf course's many challenges. One of The Madison Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th, which begins with a forced carry over water. It is considered one of the best public holes in western Pennsylvania.

Reviews
Excellent layout!
I was very impressed with the condition for the time of year that we played. Leafs were cleaned up and the condition of the greens and fairways was immaculate!
Great shape, fast play!
For late fall, course in awesome shape. Leaves on the ground were non existent making for a very enjoyable, fast paced 18.
Have played this course over the years and it is in excellent shape.
The course was in excellent shape. althought the tee boxes are showing wear after the golfing season. The sand traps were very hard again caused by all the rain it received and the time being middle of November. Most courses have let their golfing season maintenance people go for the winter.
Great track - The Madison Club
The course was in great shape. The greens were pretty flawless. Rolled nice and fast too. Well worth the golfnow.com special. I was a little bumbed out the Blue Tees weren't in, but it is November and technically the offseason in Western, Pa.
great layout-great par5 holes
course always in great condition-supernice staff-goodfood& new carts=AAA+++
Great
Beautiful coarse and the fairways and greens were perfect.
Country club quality
Has it all, lakes, doglegs, elevated tees but open enough to enjoy a stray shot here and there. Really enjoyed it.
This course has a great layout
Always enjoy my round here. Course was in great shape as usual. Greens were challenging on my play day because of a previous days tournament. Loved it. !
varied hole to hole layout. challenging, but fair and well maintaned greens
fair amount of elavation changes. no redundency in architecture. tee boxes to match all handicaps. both bombers and technician will be challenged. interesting, well maintaned layout.
nice course easy to get to
Easy to get to and friendly people
Course well maintain
Good. Carts
I always enjoy this course.
It rewards good shots, and you pay for wayward shots, but it's not too tight were you have to hit it good all the time. The staff was not that friendly. It seems like they were upset that we used Golfnow. I don't understand that. I say that because the worker at the cart area, and the pro inside both knew we used Golfnow. The cart guy even asked kind of rudely.
Great layout, fun course
Madison club is one of the best public courses in the area. Great condition, beautiful scenery. The course has a lot of variety. Some of the best par 3's around, especially #3 and #17.
Hard, firm greens
Firmest greens I've played all year, surprising considering all the rain we've had. Artificial turf tee box on #8 was interesting. A fun course to play, but too many blind shots. Pro shop staff treated us like outcasts for using golfnow.com. Friendly young lady in the bar.
This is a players course!
If you are looking to shoot a good score this course is a must. It is very player friendly with wide open fairways and not a lot of trouble to get into. The greens roll true but are a little on the slow side. Although very tempting, not every hole needs a driver.
I live about 3 hours from The Madison and boy do I wish I lived closer. The scenery, the views, the course, the greens, the playability all make The Madison a must experience. I will definitely be playing this one again.
Country setting
Nice layout. Generally wide fairways. Helps to play the course with someone who knows it. Greens slightly inconsistent.
nice links style course, fun to play, challenging but fair.
played here many times, course always in good condition.a few blind tee shots but the lay out has variety of holes, fun to play.par 3 holes all have some type of hazard to contend with, par 5 holes can be reached in 2 for the bold, big hitters.nice course to play, try it out,you will agree.
hidden gem
Course was in great shape. It was well designed and has been well maintained. Will absolutely play again.
Course is in great shape
Played on a Friday afternoon and despite all the rain that week the course was in excellent shape. Greens were true and had very few ball marks. Pace of play was very good.
Beautifully designed and maintained
This course is the best public course I have played. It offers a variety of hole layouts and exercises most of the clubs in your bag.
Great Day
Was treated very well by staff we came in contact with. Course was in great shape and we were presented with a very rewarding experience.
