Might be the worst course I’ve ever played
So saw this place on here and decided to go try it out. I love to play new courses but I wish I’d never wasted my time coming here. First of all, they don’t acknowledge these tee times. The guy said if they were busy then I wouldn’t have been able to play even after paying for this tee time. But there was literally no one there playing at 11am on a Sunday so should have took that as a sign. The worst greens I have ever seen hands down. The fairways rolled smoother than the greens and it was a cow pasture. At least 5-6 of the green were nothing but dirt. Not even a patch of grass on them. Also I never once used my 5-8 iron cause how short the course was. And that was playing from the tips. It was driver and then wedge on 90% of the holes. This course is definitely for the new to golf players who can’t break 100 or for the elderly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
Excellent golf outing
Totally nice facility to play a round of golf. Overall excellent layout except for one par five you have to tee off with an iron because there is no way to clear a misplaced water hazard. Some very scenic tee shots from mild elevations. Greens not perfect but very puttable.
good value
this course is challenging for me at 74, would take some getting use too with elevated greens. All in all tho it was a good deal and the drought hasnt helped the conditions.
Great value
The course is in great shape, very impressive versus most other courses in the area. It is a fairly short course but requires good shot placement in order to attack the greens. The value cannot be beat.
Great value
I played this course with my Dad. He is not the best golfer but this course is easier for him than most courses in the area. The greens are in really good shape and the fairways are as well. This course is one of the cheapest in the area but it is better than most for the price.
Nice Layout and Fun course!!
Group of 8 played last Saturday and never was rushed, great pace of play and nice good fairways and greens for the price..... was very enjoyable and great for the price!! Will be playing again here very soon!
Wow lol
This is hands down one of the worst courses I have been to. Their website is completely misleading. Terrible conditions. There was more sand than grass on the greens. I seriously have no idea how this course is rated 3.5 stars. Paid for 18 holes, but left after finishing 9.
Playable and Consistent
Tee Boxes = Great
Fairways = Thin but playable
Greens =slow, a little bumpy but putt able
It's not Stoney Brook and it's not Robert Trent Jones, this course is under new management so I'm going to play it again in a couple months. All that said this course was worth my $18 dollars.
Green fee's a value.
Small greens but very nice shape. Fairways had not been mowed for some time, hard to find golf ball sometimes. Only had 3 other twosome's. On course at same time.
Best course in this area
I have played this course several times and love it! The first 4 holes are challenging for a weekend golfer such as myself. However when I hit a good tee shot they have the ability to make me feel like a pro! Unfortunately rain in the area has kept the course very damp which is not uncommon for this time of year but ownership has done a tremendous job with the upkeep in spite of Mother Nature. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help in anyway possible. I have a 3 star rating for food as they do not have a wide variety other than sodas water and snacks unlike some other courses in the area but all that is made up for in the course. This course has several holes for which a "grip it and rip it" golfer can hit a monster tee shot while also containing some shorter holes which a finesse golfer can hit an approach shot and land it on the green that will have them pumping there fist and receiving high fives from others around you. Briarmeade is by far the best course I have played in this area both for value and the quality of the course and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try!
Not easy to find.
Thought I was lost several times on the way to the course. A first round at this track was an adventure on a couple of blind holes. Lots of unseen hazards and very steep approach shots. Greens played pretty well but fairways have bald spots.
Excellent value and friendly staff!
Great round of golf. This course has come a long way with the new ownership. It's a good course and becoming better!
