Wyncote Golf Club
About
Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford is one of the most challenging courses in the area. The heathlands layout feels like a links course with wind being an important factor and thick fescue coming into play. The golf course starts with an especially tough front nine but there are more scoring opportunities on the back. Mounded bunkers and moguls define the movement of the fairways and though there aren't many trees, if you don't keep your shots straight you might find yourself out-of-bounds or lost in the high, wiry grass. Sidehill lies await you as well as a few blind shots. Wyncote's greens have little undulation but the lightning fast putting surfaces are a challenge for players of all skill levels. With a few "grip it and rip it" holes mixed in, Wyncote Golf Club is a tough but fair test.

Links play at its best!
Classic links course. Tight fairways, beautiful views, challenging greens. Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in great shape. Wish the greens were cut a bit closer and faster.
Clubhouse service was fair at best; guy in the pro shop did not seem to be happy working there and had to wait 15 minutes to get served at the turn.
Play was a bit slow and no marshals present to speed play. If you were in the tall fescue, forget finding your ball. Suspect golfers spending too much time looking for balls is root cause for slow play.
Overall a really enjoyable & challenging course. Only thing preventing me from giving this a 5 star rating across the board are the multiple bad experiences in the clubhouse. Will definitely be back
Excellent golf course and clubhouse
Love playing here and the clubhouse restaurant is awesome along with a very nice pro shop .
Excellent place to play
For early in the season, Wyncote has very playable conditions. In season, it's always one of the best public courses around. Rich who runs the golf operations is a super nice guy. Go enjoy a good round at Wyncote.
Easter Sunday
Played Easter Sunday. Course was pretty empty so we tee'd off just after 11AM and played in about 3 hours. Can't say what it would be like on a busy day. Fun layout, but one that requires you to be able to play golf, wouldn't recommend if you don't know where the ball is going. Everything was in good shape condition wise. They didn't have free water out there, they had a couple of coolers with water $1 on the honor system. Also the carts didn't have divot mix which would have been nice. All in all it's an enjoyable links style course to play.
Windy Day
Played during sustained 30mph winds but weather is weather. The course is in great condition and looking forward to getting back when it's a little warmer.
Golf shop is well stocked.
Really love the course just picked a terrible time to play it very sandy greens and holes all over the place but not there fault that’s part of the golf game I will return in hoping for better results
Best around
First class , staff, Bar, layout, tee boxes greens. Everything about this place is top notch and worth every penny they charge.
Play it once, You're sure to return!
Fun layout that's not over challenging with some holes where you can let loose some bombs! Greens are still sandy from aerating, but they are rolling them each week, so rolling smooth enough. Great grass practice range and short game area. Can't wait to come back this spring with friends!
Wyncote Golf Club
This was my first time playing Wyncote Golf Club and really enjoyed it. Other than the restaurant being closed and the greens having been aerated recently, the course was awesome! Grass range, tricky layout, great conditions for early February were all positives. Definitely would love to play Wyncote GC again when greens are at their peak and the fescue is grown in.
Wyncote 2
Great to see discounted PM rates in winter time AND with aeration still affecting green conditions.
