Needs work but is actually not bad.
I play City Park's course all the time (1-2 times per week) because I go to LSU and it is cheap. Honestly, if some of the trees were trimmed back (not to make it easier but to allow some of the drier/dead areas to get some sunlight) this course would NOT be in bad condition at all. Tee boxes are kept up with very well and the greens actually play pretty well. It is maintained in those two categories but the fairways are in pretty terrible condition on a few holes and there is no variation between fairway and rough because the rough is the fairway on the next hole due to condensed space. It is only 12 dollars to play, and 5 dollars for twilight...... Kind of hard to beat that just to get a practice round in haha. Hope this helps!
Fun course in good shape
I played 18 holes on a Saturday. The course was in the best shape I have ever seen. The newly finished cart paths were great. The only downside was the pace of play was terribly slow. Some holes we waited for two and three groups to tee off before we played. It was worth the value paid for a Saturday, but the delayed play was disappointing.
Excellent Value
Nice 9 hole course with varied elevations and friendly staff. Good conditions and new golf carts. Wife and son really enjoyed. Short course with tight fairways. Hit 'em straight!
Nice Course for Public Use
This is a nice little 9 hole course which is part of the BREC family. It's not overly difficult but does have challenges.
The greens were okay for this time of year in Louisiana.
Super Saturday Golf
Paired with others by the starter. This is a quaint 9 hole course with a great layout. The staff were friendly, we had nice time. Starter helped keep things moving. My first time there but I will return.
Awesome Little Course
I’m just getting into golf and this was a nice change from other courses I have played since starting. Each hole is memorable and there is actually some elevation changes which is pretty cool for a Baton Rouge course. I went after several days of hard rain so I didn’t get to play it at its full glory. Looking forward to going again soon.
Fun, fast course
This 9-hole course is a gem! There are no Par 5’s so it plays fast. A beautiful course nestled beside the lakes this is a must play course.
Fun nine
Tight fairways and varied elevation. Not a long course. Had a good time with wife and son both. New golfers.
2 Men and The Ghost
Great day with Son, nice conditions and course in good shape.

Great day of golfing with my son! Good pace. Greens need help. Nice course though.
Nice course
Finally finished their work on the greens, Tee boxes need work.
These 3 are 1
I like having a Marshall, very nice carts, great location near LSU.
Greens more like yellows
Like the title says most greens are overran with holes poorly patched with sand. Most tee boxes are either over grown or are just naked dirt. Last hole had a “temporary green” which is just a hole in the middle of the rough. The layout is cool and easy to follow with some scenic holes.
Course in rough shape. Marshalls are rude. Not driver friendly
The greens are honestly awful. This is a course for beginners. Dont plan to putt. The pace is very very slow. The two groups ahead of us were very slow so in turn we were holding up the group of 4 behind us. That group of 4 sent the marshall to us 3 times. He asked us to let them play through even though the group ahead of us had not even teed off on the next hole. On the final time he came to us and our 17th hole, he took our advice to go to the group ahead of us and speed them up. Course is only worth it if you are getting a deal.
Terrible greens and pace of play
Tee boxes and greens are horrendous. Majority of fairways are decent. Pace of play is so slow. Course for new golfers.
