Worth The Time & Money
The course is finally in enjoyable shape since being aerated & sanded a couple of weeks ago.
Condition's improving
Course conditions are improving holes 16 , &17 are still pretty ruff.
Great for the price
Overall I enjoy playing here because it’s close to the house and a great price. With that great price comes along with some sacrifices like subpar greens, different obstacles in the way on fairways, your golf cart may or may not have brakes, and of course the annoying groups of college kids that randomly jump in front of you because they don’t know what hole they are on. All which make for an interesting round of golf. Also would be nice if you could drink on the course.
Need a map
Course layout is somewhat confusing. Signage helps but needs better paint for visibility. Hole positioning made it challenging. Drainage gulleys crated some hazards. Lost several balls to the terrain. 18 holes with a driving range available. Overall enjoyed the day.
Course was not even open
Booked a tee time a few days prior and when I arrived the gates were locked. Tried calling LSU nobody was there. Tried calling GolfNow support and was told they would have to get in touch with LSU before I can get my refund.
Good 18 holes
Confusing layout but playable. Some drainage canals in fairways. Could be challenging. Friendly staff.
Terrible course conditions
This course is the worst course I have every played. The course lacks water but has areas flooded out because of leaking sprinklers. The ground is separating because lack of water. The greens were not even playable. It would have been nice if the staff notified me of the conditions prior to me paying. I understand that we have been in a drought but other course are not in this shape.
Unplayable
The condition of this course is so poor that it should be temporarily closed until it can be reconditioned

It’s getting better. It was cut and greens are playable
July 4th, 2023
First time playing the course in a while. After COVID, the course was in poor shape the greens were in very bad shape. Today, the course is in MUCH better condition. Greens are coming back, fairways are in great shape. I would recommend giving the old course a second chance if you had a bad experience since 2020. For the price, it is a great value play and I believe the team will continue to get the greens back to 100% in due time.
LSU Course
Greens were not great but fairways were good enjoyed the layout.
Poor greens
Unfortunately the greens were in poor condition. The rest of the course was just fine, but there were a lot of dead or lumpy parts of most of the greens. Good firm fairways provided extra distance. Course design is mostly pretty bland. I miss the old course. I only played there to get away from the crowded courses. Baton Rouge needs a couple more golf courses.
About the green
The green looks not being maintenance very well bump everywhere, that’s the most important course suppose to be. Overall it’s good
Poor management
Worst experience with management I have ever dealt with. They made us cut our time short, wasn’t allowed to finish our 18 holes we paid for. Extremely disappointed pointed in the staff and management. The manager was in my face bullying me and pushing me out the door, I don’t recommend.
Should be a parking lot for Gamedays
Played here 3 years ago and it was rough then. Played it for the first time since then and couldn’t believe how bad the course was in comparison. Reserved a tee time for a 5 man group and they told us that 1 of us would have to walk because they didn’t have anymore carts. We had an early afternoon tee time. Half of our group got to hit on the range and the others didn’t get to because they were out of range balls. Lost multiple balls in the middle of the fairways because the grass needs to be cut. Most of the bunkers don’t even have rakes and some are completely overgrown with weeds. The marshall made us finish up on the fairway of the 18th hole 40 minutes before sunset. Greens are in terrible shape. Won’t be long before this course becomes a parking lot or apartment complexes.
