Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses (2020 #4)
Reviews
The course is nice and very playable. My only complaint is the putting greens need a lot of work. If that would be fixed, I’d give it a five star rating. The park needs to invest some time and money to have the putting greens more playable and nice. Overall, I always have a good time here!
Pines @ North Park 041823
Played this morning in cloudy conditions. Course has drained very well from heavy rain before sunrise 2 days ago. Carts were 90 degrees.
Greens were punched and top dressed about a week and a half ago which was much needed. Grass is beginning to fill in on the greens. Number 8 is still on a temp green but the normal green appears to be getting better and hope it reopens soon.
Playable
Overall course is in good shape. They are trying to get their greens back to playable. Good course to get some swings in
Staff was friendly, golf course had a few players so pace was excellent.
PARDS (Public) Owned course
This course is 9 holes that you play twice with different tee boxes on each round. I like the course because it is near my home and very inexpensive to play.
The conditions are getting better and that are almost acceptable to a tolerable player. If you are looking for a fancy course, this IS NOT it. It is a decently maintained public course with great prices.
Great staff!
Unfortunately I don’t remember the two I met in the club house, but they were amazing helping with club rentals for my plus one and directing my around the course since it was my first time playing here. I enjoyed the day, mainly because I was actually playing well, but I had only two complaints. One, the greens were patchy with mini bunkers and bumpy with the type of grass or weeds growing on it. Two, the tee boxes were confusing on the signs and may have been missing on some holes. That could have been myself since I haven’t played a 9-hole course in close to 20 years. I’d still go to it for the price and location to my new home, just wish the greens were better. The practice greens were better than the course greens. But loved the stuff and still enjoyed myself!
Tee Box Greens
I've seen tee boxes with bigger greens that this course. And tee boxes in better condition than the greens. There isn't any point in trying to line up a putt, or read the greens. Your best bet is to aim at the pin and whack the ball - or better yet, save your money and don't bother playing here.
Local course but not well maintained.
Greens are terrible. Course would be pretty good with even average condition greens and bunkers.
Good for Practice
This course is a good practice course. The fairways are in good condition. In contrast the greens need a good bit of work.
The course layout may be confusing the first time playing. It appears that this was a nine hole course that has been modified to an 18 by adding extra tee boxes and using the same nine greens.
If you looking for somewhere to test your clubs other than a driving range you can't beat the price., $20 with a cart.

Rainy conditions over the least several weeks have some areas still wet. Carts in path only due to wet conditions. Need some dry weather to help fairways and greens.
Nope
9 hole course, so multiple groups on tee boxes and holes. Very wet!! Greens are very small and pasture grass and sand on them.
